Utrecht vs Excelsior
Utrecht currently sit in seventh place with three points after the first two rounds of the season, while Excelsior are one of four teams yet to earn points heading into matchday three.
This match will be the 49th Eredivisie encounter between the two teams, with Utrecht holding a substantial lead in the head-to-head record at 31 wins to Excelsior’s four.
Utrecht will aim to extend their unbeaten streak against Excelsior to 12 matches, which includes six wins and five draws.

Lyon vs Metz
Lyon got off to an ideal start in Ligue 1, securing a 1-0 victory away to Lens.
Metz were less successful in their opening league game of the 2025/2026 campaign.
The two sides last met during the 2023/2024 season, with Lyon coming out on top in their away fixture.
Too early for a newly promoted side to face Lyon at home.
PREDICTION: Lyon to win at 1.42
Marseille vs Paris FC
Despite dominating possession and enjoying a numerical advantage, Marseille stumbled on the opening day with a 1-0 loss to Rennes.
Paris FC also opened with a 1-0 defeat, going down to Angers after Esteban Lepaul’s early goal.
This will be the first Ligue 1 meeting between Marseille and Paris FC.
PREDICTION: Marseille to win at 1.40
Wrexham vs Sheff Wed
Wrexham shared a hard-fought battle with West Brom side in one of last Saturday’s early kick-offs, but Isaac Price’s classy brace proved the difference as the Baggies left Wales empty-handed.
Sheffield Wednesday’s game against Stoke was much less competitive than their season opener against Leicester. The Owls were hammered 3-0 on home soil by the early league leaders.
Sheff Wed are bottom of the league and it will difficult to win this.
PREDICTION: Wrexham to win wither half at 1.30
AC Milan vs Cremonese
Allegri starts his second stint as AC Milan manager this weekend with a home game against Cremonese.
Milan finished their lowest in Serie A in ten years last season finishing in eighth position.
Cremonese will be hoping to stay in the Serie A after promotion from Serie B.
Milan have dominated this fixture winning 10 of their last 16 home games.
PREDICTION: AC Milan to win at 1.38
West Brom vs Portsmouth
West Brom recorded another win against newly promoted, Wrexham as they’ve started the season well.
This weekend’s hosts are one of three sides with a 100% record in the Championship heading into gameweek three.
Portsmouth were on the back foot from the get-go against Norwich in gameweek two as they lost.
Pompey have now suffered back-to-back 2-1 defeats in all competitions and face another challenging fixture on Saturday at The Hawthorns.

Go Ahead Eagles vs Sparta Rotherdam
The Eagles come into this match unbeaten, having drawn both of their opening games, while Sparta has managed to earn three points from a possible six.
This clash will be the 67th encounter between the two clubs in Eredivisie history, with Sparta currently leading the head-to-head record 31-18.
However, Go Ahead Eagles have won the last three meetings.
PREDICTION: Go Ahead to win either halves at 1.50
Atletico Madrid vs Elche
Diego Simeone’s side got off to a disappointing start to the 2025/2026 La Liga campaign, throwing away a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 against Espanyol. Julian Alvarez struck in the first half, but two second-half Espanyol goals saw them turn the game around.
Upon their return to La Liga, Elche pulled off an impressive 1-1 draw against Real Betis.
Simeone should guide his team to their first win of the season in front of their fans.
