As the business end of the 2024/25 season approaches, Transfermarkt have dropped their updated list of the 100 most valuable players in world football – and the top 10 is truly stacked with stars. These rankings take into account form, age, potential, and availability, with some of the game’s biggest names climbing (or falling) in value.
There was no room for any Nigerian internationals in the top 10, with Victor Osimhen ranked 51st at €70m and Ademola Lookman the next highest at 69th with a market value of €60m.
From established icons to breakout teenagers lighting up Europe, here’s a look at the top 10 most valuable players in the world right now.
Erling Haaland – €200m
Still standing tall at the top of the list is Manchester City’s goal machine. Despite enduring what many would call a “quiet” season by his standards, Haaland has already bagged 21 Premier League goals and 30 overall. His value remains at an eye-watering €200m, helped by his youth (24) and his near-guaranteed goal output. There are few more valuable assets in world football than the Norwegian striker.

Vinicius Jr – €200m
Only nine days older than Haaland, Vinicius Jr shares the same market value but sits just behind in second. The Real Madrid star has continued to shine on both domestic and European stages, and many believe he was unfortunate to miss out on last year’s Ballon d’Or. With his electric pace, dazzling footwork, and growing consistency in front of goal, Vini remains the jewel in Madrid’s crown.
Lamine Yamal – €180m
Barcelona’s teenage sensation continues to defy expectations. At just 17 years old, Lamine Yamal is already a regular at both club and international level. With 13 goals and 18 assists this season, his market value has skyrocketed to €180m – and he might only just be getting started. The future of Spanish football is here.

Jude Bellingham – €180m
Bellingham has seamlessly adapted to life at Real Madrid, becoming the heartbeat of their midfield. At just 21, he combines maturity with creativity and goal threat, already boasting 13 goals and 11 assists from midfield this season. His €180m valuation reflects not just his performances, but his potential to dominate for the next decade.
Kylian Mbappé – €170m
Now 26, Mbappé remains one of football’s biggest stars – and biggest assets. His market value rose €10m in the latest update, taking him to €170m. With 33 goals already this season and a potential Champions League crown within reach, the Frenchman continues to deliver at the highest level. Only five goals away from the greatest goal-scoring season in a Real Madrid debut season his market value shows no sign of slowing down.
Bukayo Saka – €150m
Arsenal’s talisman may have missed a chunk of the season through injury, but his impact is undeniable. With 25 goal contributions already, Saka remains one of the most dangerous wide players in the world. At 22, and with Champions League football back at the Emirates, his €150m valuation is a testament to his growth and importance for club and country.
Florian Wirtz – €140m
One of the brightest stars in the Bundesliga, Florian Wirtz continues to shine for Bayer Leverkusen. This season alone, the 21-year-old has racked up an impressive 28 goal contributions in all competitions, with 15 goals and 13 assists to his name. It’s a continuation of the form that saw him lead Leverkusen to a historic domestic double last season, winning both the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal. With creativity, flair and a lethal final ball, Wirtz’s market value is only heading in one direction.
Jamal Musiala – €140m
Level with Wirtz on valuation, Musiala edges slightly behind due to being a few months older. The Bayern Munich star remains a driving force in their attack, with 17 goals and six assists this campaign. Still only 22, the former Chelsea academy product is one of the brightest young talents in Europe.
Cole Palmer – €130m
What a rise it’s been for Cole Palmer. After switching Manchester City for Chelsea, the young Englishman has quickly become the face of a new project at Stamford Bridge. With 14 goals and six assists already this season, his €130m valuation reflects a dramatic ascent in stature – and the belief that he can be a long-term Premier League star.

Phil Foden – €130m
Completing the top 10 is another City product, Phil Foden. He may have dipped slightly in valuation (-€10m), but the England international remains one of the league’s most naturally gifted players. The City academy graduate was named Premier League Player of the Year for 2023/24, thanks to a campaign where he recorded 19 goals and eight assists. Still just 23, Foden’s ability to shift momentum with a single touch makes him an invaluable asset to Pep Guardiola – and a constant threat to any defence.
Which Clubs Have the Most Valuable Squads?
Barcelona lead the way when it comes to overall squad value in the Transfermarkt top 100, with nine players combining for a whopping €750 million. Alongside Lamine Yamal, standout names like Pedri (€120m) and Raphinha (€80m) help power Barça’s place at the top.
Not far behind are Arsenal, whose own nine representatives total €745 million in value. Bukayo Saka is their top star, but he’s joined by other big-money teammates like Declan Rice (€110m) and Martin Ødegaard (€100m) – a testament to Arteta’s ambitious rebuild.
Paris Saint-Germain also boast nine players in the list, though none feature in the top 10. Still, with a combined squad value of €590 million, the French giants remain one of Europe’s most stacked sides on paper.
