One of the best players to ever grace the Premier League, Thierry Henry signed for the Gunners in 1999 for £11m where he won the Golden Boot award four times. The Frenchman scored 20 goals in five consecutive seasons between 2001/02 and 2005/06.

Wayne Rooney

Everton – Manchester United, 2004

Alan Shearer 

Blackburn Rovers – Newcastle United, 1996

Alan Shearer make the swap from Blackburn to boyhood club Newcastle in 1996 for a then world-record fee of £15m after winning the Premier League with the former in the 1994/95 campaign. The Geordie forward went on to score 148 goals for the Magpies in the Premier League and is the top scorer in the division’s history with 260.

Frank Lampard 

West Ham United – Chelsea, 2001

Frank Lampard is one of the best ever midfielders to play in the Premier League and he signed for the Blues in 2001 for £11m where he went on to spend 13 seasons. The Englishman won the league three times with the Blues and is the club’s record goalscorer with 211.
