There were some terrific goals scored over the weekend across Europe, and we picked out the top five from all the action in the top European leagues.
As we head into the business end of the season, things are hotting up as there is fierce competition at both ends of the table in all of Europe’s top leagues.
Kobbie Mainoo, Manchester United
Mainoo scored an excellent goal against Liverpool at the weekend when he picked the ball up just inside the penalty area and curled one magnificently into the top corner to give Man Utd the lead.
Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City
De Bruyne scored an impressive brace against Crystal Palace at the weekend, and his first goal was one of pure class, as he whipped the ball from outside the penalty area right into the top right corner to silence Selhurst Park.
Duvan Zapata, Torino
Zapata netted twice for Torino at the weekend, and his second one was to round of an excellent team goal after he rounded off a move that consisted of 15 passes, before the forward nodded home.
Goncalo Ramos, Paris Saint-Germain
Ramos salvaged PSG a point at the weekend with an excellent goal, after he drove with the ball from deep, played an excellent one-two with Kylian Mbappe before stabbing one into the back of the net.
James Ward-Prowse, West Ham United
Ward-Prowse is known for his set piece taking ability, and he showed this at the weekend when he whipped a ball into a dangerous area from a corner, and it miraculously went directly into the far corner of the goal to earn his side all three points.
