The English Premier League is heading into matchday 15 this week, with this being the beginning of the infamous winter schedule as games come thick and fast. Matches are set to be played almost every weekend and midweek, with some sides getting a slight break when European matchdays are held.
Tuesday night see’s the first of the midweek Premier League games begin with the others spread across the following two days, and we’ve picked out our top tips and booking codes for Tuesday night’s games.
Wolverhampton Wanderers to win, 1.86
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Burnley
Wolves have had a rather expected start to this season with them finding themselves in the exact position that they finished last season in, 13th. While they have only won four of their 14 games thus far, they have scored the most goals of any side in the bottom nine and have found themselves on the end of multiple poor decisions, already receiving at least two apologies for PGMOL for wrong decisions that cost Wolves the final result. Despite this, they have still managed impressive 2-1 victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City while also giving Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool extremely tough times in their games.
As for Burnley, their season has been rather disappointing compared to the overwhelmingly positive speculation and predictions about Vincent Kompany’s side prior to the season beginning. Burnley have just seven points from their 14 games, leaving them in 19th, with their two wins coming against the other promoted sides in Luton Town and Sheffield United. Having conceded 32 goals already, we find it hard to believe that Wolves won’t score in this one and we expect that Wolves will come out with the three points come the end of the game.
Arsenal to win and over 2.5 goals, 1.57
Luton Town vs Arsenal
Luton Town were hotly tipped to finish rock bottom of the Premier League in many people’s pre-season predictions, with some suggesting that they may even break Derby’s record for the lowest points tally in a season. However, Luton currently sit outside the relegation zone by two points, although this is because of Everton’s 10 point deduction which now has them just two points behind. Their performances in recent weeks have been largely positive, with them beating Crystal Palace and drawing 1-1 to Liverpool in a game that they were unlucky not to win and they also narrowly lost to Manchester United.
Despite this, Arsenal are firm favourites heading into this one and it’s clear to see why. The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League and boast the best defensive record in the league and the fifth best attack. Wins in all of their last five games, conceding just twice in the process, it’s extremely hard to bet against Arsenal winning and we expect them to rather comfortably take all three points in this one.
