In La Liga all eyes remain on Girona as they sit top of the table with 34 points but the chasing pack are hot on their tails with Atletico, Barcelona and Real Madrid all within six points of the leaders. With the rest of the top four being strong favourites going into their games, Girona will be hoping to take all three points in their clash against fifth placed Athletic Club.
As for the Serie A, the title race is well and truly on between Inter and Juventus with them being eight and six points clear of third place. This makes Sunday’s game between the two Italian giants so much more interesting, with the winner taking top spot. The remaining four sides in the top six all also face up against each other this weekend, with Milan against Fiorentina and Atalanta hosting Napoli.

Girona have been phenomenal this season with them rather surprisingly sitting top of the table with 13 games played. Having finished 10th last season, nobody would have expected the level of performance they have been able to reach this season. 31 goals scored and 16 conceded with just one loss, which came against Real Madrid, has marked a brilliant start to the season and while their upcoming game against Athletic Club will be challenging, we firmly expect them to take all three points come the end of the game.

Real Madrid sit second in the table, just two points behind league leaders Girona, and boast the best defensive record in the league with just nine goals conceded. Having gone 10 games since receiving their last loss, which came against rivals Atletico Madrid, Real go into this game in fantastic form. With Cadiz CF down in 16th, we expect Real Madrid to come out victorious.

Juventus vs Inter
Lautaro Martinez has been on fire for Inter this season, with the striker already on 14 goals in 16 appearances across all club competitions. While Juventus have conceded just seven goals in the league this season, Inter have scored an impressive 29 in the opening 12 games. With this attacking record, we expect Inter will create a fair few chances and Martinez’s form suggests he is sure to put one away.

Atalanta and Napoli may be sat in fifth and fourth place respectively, but both sides are coming into this game in rather inconsistent form. Both have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five prior to matching up against each other on Saturday evening. With this, we expect this game will end in a stalemate between the two sides.

Milan vs Fiorentina
Milan currently sit third in the Serie A table with 23 points after 12 games, but recent results have seen them drop away from the top two teams in the league. Zero wins in their last four Serie A outings, has hosted a sharp drop off in form where their only positive result in their last six games came in a shock 2-1 victory against PSG in the UEFA Champions League. Fiorentina had also been going through a slight rough patch prior to this game but have managed to put things right with back-to-back victories in their most recent outings.
Despite this, we expect that the home advantage and the quality that Milan possess will be too much for Fiorentina to deal with.
