Victor Osimhen has successfully undergone surgery following the injury he sustained during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool.
The Super Eagles striker fractured his hand in a challenge with Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate during the Round of 16 tie at Anfield, forcing him off at half-time and leaving Galatasaray without their biggest attacking threat.

Successful Surgery
Galatasaray confirmed on Monday that the procedure was successful, with the operation carried out at Maslak Ac?badem Hospital by the club’s chief physician, Dr Yener ?nce.
In an official statement, the Turkish champions expressed optimism over Osimhen’s recovery, wishing the Nigerian forward a swift return to action as soon as possible.
A Major Blow for Galatasaray
Osimhen has been central to Galatasaray’s season, leading the line with goals, intensity and relentless movement in attack.
His absence was felt immediately in the defeat to Liverpool, and it now comes at a crucial stage of the campaign as Galatasaray continue their push for the Süper Lig title.
With rivals Fenerbahce close behind, losing a player of Osimhen’s quality could prove decisive in the title race.

When Will Osimhen Return?
Early reports suggest Osimhen could be sidelined for between six to eight weeks, potentially ruling him out until early May.
However, there is optimism that he could return sooner, with the Nigerian striker having a history of recovering quickly from injuries.
Galatasaray will be hoping to have him back in time for key fixtures in the run-in, including a potential title-deciding clash against Fenerbahce.
