Nigeria’s emphatic 4–0 victory over Mozambique sent the Super Eagles into the AFCON quarter-finals, but the win was overshadowed by dramatic scenes involving Victor Osimhen.
Despite scoring and combining well with Ademola Lookman earlier in the game, tensions boiled over in the second half when Osimhen angrily confronted his teammate after a missed passing opportunity. The striker had to be separated by teammates before signalling to the bench to be substituted, even with Nigeria cruising.
