The January transfer deadline day is upon us, with the window shutting at midnight on Thursday.
There has not been a large amount of business completed so far from those in the English top flight, but the transfer deadline day will undoubtedly provide us with some late drama.

Al-Ittihad winger Jota, has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham United this January despite signing for the club in the summer, and the move is looking even more likely after talks with Hammers target Ibrahim Osman, have reportedly come to a halt. (Standard)

Everton – Manchester United
Manchester United are reportedly ready to make their first signing of the transfer window, and are preparing a £40m bid for young defender Jarrad Branthwaite in the hope that they can get the deal completed before the end of the day. (The Standard)

Nottingham Forest – Lyon
