Women’s Euro 2025 Betting Guide: Group Analysis, Outright Picks & Tips

The Women’s European Championship kicks off today in Switzerland, and with it comes one of the most exciting betting opportunities of the summer. Sixteen teams are battling for continental glory across four competitive groups – and there are big calls to be made in the group winner and outright markets.

We’ve broken down every group, highlighting all four teams and who we’re backing to top each one. Then we turn to the main contenders to win the tournament and settle on one outright pick.

Group A – Norway to win (1.68)

Teams: Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Finland

Group A feels like a toss-up – but Norway are still the most proven outfit here. The 1995 World Cup winners are inconsistent, yes, but their experience and firepower should see them through against a shaky set of opponents. Switzerland, the hosts, haven’t won in eight competitive matches. Iceland are ranked highest in the group but haven’t tasted victory in nearly a year. Finland are better than their world ranking suggests and come in with decent form, but it’s still Norway who carry the edge in quality.

Our pick: Norway to win Group A at 1.68. Bet Here!

Group B – Spain to win (1.07)

Teams: Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal

Spain are not just favourites for this group – they’re favourites to win the whole thing. The World Cup winners thrashed Portugal and Belgium in recent Nations League fixtures, and while Italy are improving under Andrea Soncin, they’re still rebuilding. Portugal’s form nosedived after some promising results earlier in the year, while Belgium are too inconsistent to back. Spain’s group record should be flawless, even if Aitana Bonmatí is eased back after her recent illness.

Group C – Germany to win (1.51)

Teams: Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Poland

The “group of death” brings together four dangerous sides – but Germany stand out. Eight-time European champions, Germany arrive with a squad stacked with goals and fresh from a strong Olympic campaign. Sweden are seasoned tournament performers but feel past their peak. Denmark have tightened up since the last World Cup but lack the same firepower. Poland are debutants and boast Ewa Pajor up top, but don’t have the depth to survive in this company. Germany should score heavily and come out on top.

Our pick: Germany to win Group C at 1.51. Bet Here!

Group D – France to win (2.45)

Teams: France, England, Netherlands, Wales

This is the most high-profile group in the tournament, and England are the favourites – but France topped their qualifying group ahead of the Lionesses and arrive in excellent form. England’s recent results have been patchy, with injuries and retirements leaving Sarina Wiegman’s squad slightly off-balance. The Netherlands are dangerous but inconsistent, and Wales – debuting at the tournament – will struggle to take points off any of the big three. France’s dynamism, form and confidence under Laurent Bonadei gives them the edge.

Tournament Winner Odds (Outright)

Spain – 2.75

The reigning World Cup and Nations League champions are stacked with attacking talent and arrive with confidence and a kind group draw. Even if Aitana Bonmatí isn’t 100% early on, players like Esther González and Clàudia Pina should fire them through to the latter stages. If they top their group, Spain’s path to the final avoids both England and France until the semis.

England – 5.00

The holders will believe they can go all the way again, and under Wiegman, they’ve reached the final in back-to-back major tournaments. But there are questions; Millie Bright is out, key names like Fran Kirby and Mary Earps have stepped away, and their Nations League form wasn’t convincing. They’re still contenders, but not the best value.

Germany – 5.75

Germany were finalists in 2022 and bronze medallists at the 2024 Olympics, and they arrive on the more favourable side of the draw. Their squad is loaded with firepower, and if they build momentum early, they could be unstoppable. But defensive frailty and an inexperienced coach make them slightly riskier than Spain.

France – 5.75

The perennial underachievers are in a good place under Bonadei. They beat England in qualifying, have real attacking variety, and may finally be ready to shed the ‘nearly’ tag. If they win Group D, they’ll likely avoid Spain until the final – but they’ve never made it past the semis in this competition before.

Our Outright Pick: Spain
Spain have the talent, depth, recent winning mentality and kind group draw to win their first ever European Championship. La Roja are our pick to go all the way.
