2024 has been a great year for football fans in the Bet9ja community, with millions of Nigerians taking advantage of the amazing odds and betting on their favourite teams and players.

The year might be coming to an end, but the action never stops, and this weekend, we have highlighted five games with the potential for big wins.

Let’s get right into it. Remember to bet on all the following tips right here at Bet9ja!

Cagliari vs Inter

Cagliari’s poor form has landed them in the Serie A relegation zone, with three consecutive defeats, and just one win in their last nine league games. Manager Davide Nicola is under serious pressure, and his next task is to get a result against the defending champions.

That is an unenviable task, as Inter have dominated this fixture in recent years, winning 11 of the last 14 matches.

Simone Inzaghi’s men are also on a three-match winning streak in all competitions, scoring 10 goals without conceding, and are unbeaten in the league since September.

There should only be one winner here.

Inter Milan to win @1.48

West Ham vs Liverpool

West Ham are experiencing something of a resurgence after a wretched start to the season. The Hammers could not put together a run of wins to save their lives through the early months of the season, but are now unbeaten in their last four.

Meanwhile, Arne Slot’s Liverpool have been flying this season, and after playing out a frantic 2-2 draw at home to Fulham two weeks ago, the Reds have claimed 3 consecutive wins, scoring 11 goals over the same period. They overcame a stubborn Leicester City on Boxing Day, winning 3-1 to go seven points clear with a game in hand, and Slot will be aiming to end 2024 on a high.

Liverpool have been utterly dominant in this fixture and are in scintillating form; we expect another comfortable win for the Reds.

Everton vs Nottingham Forest

Sean Dyche has returned to basics, prioritizing defensive solidity over expansive football, and his Everton side are reaping the rewards. They are now 15th in the standings, three points off the drop zone, with a healthy five clean sheets in their last seven games.

The Toffees’ next task is to stop high-flying Nottingham Forest, who have won five of their last six games, including four on the bounce.

Nuno Espirito’s men earned a well-deserved 1-0 win against Tottenham on Boxing Day to climb into third in the Premier League standings, and fans are starting to dream of top-level European football for the first time in more than 40 years.

Nottingham Forest win or draw @1.47

Leicester City vs Manchester City

These two teams can’t win games and can’t stop conceding goals. Ruud van Nistelrooy enjoyed the new manager bounce, winning his opening game against West Ham, but has failed to pick up a win since (D1, L3).

The Foxes have also faced the most shots in Europe’s top five leagues since van Nistelrooy took charge, and the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on Boxing Day highlighted their defensive issues.

However, Manchester City are not a team anyone wants to bet money on right now.

Confidence is low, and everyone seems to be in bad form. One win in their last 13 games is unusual for a Pep Guardiola team, and things are unlikely to change soon.

We are going for goals here; Leicester’s defensive record is horrendous, and City have kept one clean sheet in their last 14 games.

Over 2.5 goals @1.36

Tottenham vs Wolves

Finally, we travel to the Tottenham Stadium for what should be an exciting game. Both teams score and concede for fun, while chasing two completely different objectives.

Ange Postecoglou has refused to abandon his ultra-high line and attacking approach, despite winning just two of the last nine games.

Relegation-threatened Wolves, on the other hand, are enjoying a new manager bounce under Vitor Pereira. The Portuguese tactician has led the club to consecutive wins, including a fine 2-0 win over Manchester United.

This one could go either way, but Spurs have scored the second-most goals in the league (39), and Wolves have conceded the most (40).

Over 2.5 goals @1.30

Total odds – 5.51 (odds at time of writing)
