At Bet9ja, our aim is to help you win, and what better way to win big than betting on goalscorers? We all know goals win games, and there are players who you can trust to put the ball in the back of the net when the stakes are high.
The UEFA Champions League play-offs commence this week, and there are truly some tasty clashes that could offer us big wins.
Without further ado, here are the five goalscorer picks for the midweek action. You can bet on all five right here at Bet9ja!
Kylian Mbappe vs Manchester City
On current form, you have to fear for Pep Guardiola’s men, especially against the likes of Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe.
City have kept three clean sheets in their last 16 games, and two of those came against poor opposition (Salford and relegation-threatened Ipswich). Their defence suffers from a lack of midfield protection, leaving them prone to conceding in transition and a shocking inability to stop counter-attacks.
One player who we expect to capitalise on this is Real Madrid number nine, Mbappe. The France captain has nine goals in his last eight games, and you can get excellent value by backing him to score.

Ousmane Dembele vs Brest
PSG will face familiar foes Brest in the UCL play-offs, and having already beaten them twice this season, they will feel confident of repeating the trick.
Their last meeting in the beginning of February saw Luis Enrique’s men win 5-2, courtesy of an Ousmane Dembele hat-trick. Dembele is one of the most in-form players in Europe, and his brace against Monaco at the weekend took his tally to 10 goals in his last five games.
PSG play with a very fluid attack, usually relying on goals from just about everywhere, and Dembele seems to be the main man at the moment.
The Ligue 1 leaders have not lost in 2025, and we expect that record to continue, powered by Dembele’s red-hot form.

Harry Kane vs Celtic
On paper, this should be a straightforward win for Bayern Munich, but there are no easy games when you get to the knockout phase of the Champions League, especially away from home.
Vincent Kompany will be keenly aware of this, and we expect Bayern to come out all guns blazing, to take a good result back to the Allianz Arena.
Harry Kane had been slow to return to his best form since coming back from injury, but his brace at the weekend was his sixth goal in his last four games. He has 28 goals in 28 games this season, and the England captain is showing no signs of slowing down.
11 of Bayern’s last 12 matches have featured over 2.5 goals, and we see this going the same way. Back Kane to be among the goals.
Harry Kane to score anytime @1.75
Mohamed Salah vs Everton
We are taking a quick detour to the English Premier League, where Liverpool finally get to play their game in hand against city rivals Everton. Arne Slot’s men are six points clear of Arsenal, and a win here will surely put them in excellent position to win their second league title in five years.
The driving force behind their success this season is Mohamed Salah, who has contributed 21 goals and 13 assists in 23 league games. The Egyptian was absent at the weekend, when Liverpool were dumped out of the FA Cup by Championship side Plymouth, and he will be eager to get back involved in the action.
The Reds have had a difficult time at Goodison Park over the years, winning just two of their last 11 visits there, however, if there’s one man that can turn the tide, that man is Salah.
Mohamed Salah to score anytime @1.90
Mateo Retegui vs Club Brugge
Atalanta are flying high in Serie A, and last weekend’s 5-0 win over Verona was the sixth time this season they had scored five or more goals in a game.
Mateo Retegui scored four goals in that game to take his tally to nine in his last eight games. In the absence of star man Ademola Lookman, Retegui has been relied on to shoulder the scoring burden, and he has done that excellently in recent weeks.
Club Brugge are the lowest-scoring team left in the Champions League, and their record of one win in their last six games makes it tough to see them stopping this Atalanta juggernaut. There could be goals in this one, and we expect Retegui to continue from where he left off at the weekend.
Mateo Retegui to score anytime @2.75
