We are finally at the business end of the UEFA Champions League, and the draws have served up some intriguing ties.

After successfully hitting 4/5 with our goalscorer tips this past weekend, we’re aiming to go a perfect 5/5 this time around.

Here are our top five goalscorer picks for this midweek’s action and you can bet on all five right here at Bet9ja!

Kylian Mbappe vs Atletico Madrid

The Madrid derby is always a highly charged affair, but this round of 16 first leg clash is going to be particularly intense.

Real Madrid are still wounded from their 2-1 defeat to Real Betis on Saturday, which allowed Atlético to leapfrog them in La Liga, and with the first leg being played at home, the pressure is on Carlo Ancelotti’s men to come out swinging.

If they want to advance past this stage, they’ll need Kylian Mbappé to be at the top of his game. Luckily, the French captain has been on fire over the past two months, scoring 14 goals in his last 15 appearances.

Mbappé is averaging an impressive 4.5 shots per game, making him an excellent pick to score anytime here.

Serhou Guirassy vs Lille

Borussia Dortmund and Lille are set to clash for the first time in 23 years, with a spot in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on the line.

Dortmund had a relatively easy time in their knockout round play-off, holding Sporting to a 0-0 draw at home after building a comfortable three-goal lead in Portugal.

One player to put your money on is Dortmund’s star striker, Serhou Guirassy, who’s been in excellent form over the past few months.

The Guinean is top scorer in the UCL this season with 10 goals, and has scored five in his last two games. Lille have kept one clean sheet in their last 11 games, and against a rampant Dortmund team, playing at home, we just don’t see them stopping Guirassy from finding the net here.

Mohamed Salah vs PSG

PSG are absolutely cooking right now, making it tempting to back them against anyone, even a top-notch team like Liverpool. And with Ousmane Dembele in the form of his life, scoring again at the weekend, it’s hard to argue against their chances.

However, we’re going to go against the grain and back Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah to find the back of the net. Why? Well, do you really need any more reasons than his outrageous form this season? The guy has racked up an incredible 30 goals and 22 assists across all competitions, and he consistently performs against the best teams, whether at home or away.

As an added bonus, Salah is also Liverpool’s penalty taker, which makes him an excellent pick for our goalscorer bet.

Robert Lewandowski vs Benfica

Barcelona’s 5-4 win over Benfica in the league phase was one of the most exciting games of the season, a theme consistent with Benfica’s season as five of their last six home games have featured at least four goals.

However, they would likely trade excitement for results, especially against a team as potent as Barcelona. Hansi Flick’s men have been on fire lately, and are now unbeaten in their last 15 matches (W12, D3).

The man we are backing to score in this one is Robert Lewandowski, whose goal in the 4-0 win over Real Sociedad at the weekend took his tally to an impressive 34 goals in all competitions. Eight of Barcelona’s last 11 UCL games featured over 3.5 goals, and we’re expecting another high-scoring affair.

Youssef En-Nesyri vs Rangers

We’re wrapping up our tips for the week with a Europa League showdown between Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce and Scottish side Rangers. Mourinho’s men are in remarkable form, and their 3-0 win over Antalyspor at the weekend extended their unbeaten run to 18 matches (W13, D5).

Fenerbahce come into this tie as favourites and will be counting on star striker En-Nesyri to deliver the goods. The Moroccan has been on fire, scoring 12 goals in his last 10 games, including finding the net in each of Fenerbahce’s last six home games.

Rangers may not be pushovers, but it’s tough to see them stopping Mourinho’s men on their home turf. We’re backing En-Nesyri to keep his hot streak going and lead Fenerbahce to a first-leg win.
