While club competitions pause, international matches take centre stage, with national teams battling it out across continents and various tournaments.
Below, we delve into a selection of key fixtures taking place over the weekend, highlighting some of the most exciting matchups and offering our top tips and best booking code (odds at time of writing):
Turkey vs Wales
These two teams sit first and second in League B Group 4 after four matches, with Turkey topping the group with 10 points from three wins and one draw, while Wales are just two points behind with eight points from two wins and two draws.
With both already boasting a healthy lead over third-placed Iceland, who have four points, they are likely fighting simply to finish at the top of the group with them likely to place in the top two.
While Turkey were dominated by Wales in the 0-0 draw in the opening round of group matches, with Turkey now boasting the home advantage and coming into the match on the back of three consecutive victories, we believe the hosts will win here.
Turkey to win, 1.74
Netherlands vs Hungary
Netherlands have had a largely disappointing start in League A Group 3, only taking five points from their first four matches with one win, two draws and one defeat, though that still leaves them narrowly ahead of Hungary on goal difference in second place.
Hungary have also recorded the same set of results, including a 1-1 draw with Netherlands, and they will be aiming to leapfrog Saturday’s hosts and move into second place with a victory.
However, with Netherlands playing at home, as well as clearly boasting the superior talent throughout the squad, the hosts should get the three points here.
Netherlands to win & over 2.5 goals, 1.84
England vs Ireland
England were dominant in their meeting with Ireland on the first matchday in League B Group 2, holding 76% possession and taking 16 shots to Ireland’s six in an eventual 2-0 victory.
With the Three Lions now also boasting the home advantage, as well as attempting to record a big victory in Lee Carsley’s final game before Thomas Tuchel arrives, we believe that England will secure a a comfortable victory on Sunday.
England to win & over 2.5 goals, 1.75
Italy vs France
Italy have enjoyed an unbeaten start in League A Group 2, winning four and drawing one of their opening five matches, including a 3-1 win against France in the opening round of matches.
France have also had a mostly positive start, having won three and lost one of their first five matches, leaving them second in the group standings, three points behind Italy. They will be coming into this game with both teams having already qualified for the quarter-finals and the hosts will be expected to secure the win here.
France to win, 2.62
