What a wild week of football we just witnessed! Barcelona and Inter Milan dished out a proper goal-fest that had us on the edge of our seats, while PSG continued their dominance, leaving Arsenal in the dust.

The nets were bulging all over Europe, and we’re hoping for more of the same in this weekend’s league action.

Here are five well-researched  goalscorer tips to back this weekend. Let’s get right into it and you can bet on all five right here at Bet9ja!

Bryan Mbeumo vs Ipswich Town

Ipswich’s relegation has been confirmed, which means they’ll play without pressure and could be dangerous, as seen when they managed a draw at Everton last weekend. However, they’ve won just one of their last 15 league fixtures and lost seven successive games at home.

All the stats point to another defeat here, especially against a Brentford side that can score for fun, with 10 goals in their last three games.

Our pick for anytime goalscorer is Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, who has scored an impressive 18 league goals this season. He has netted two goals in his last three appearances for the Bees and is also the designated penalty taker, making him an excellent pick.

Chris Wood vs Leicester City

This is a huge weekend for Nottingham Forest, who are in sixth spot and desperate to finish in the top five to secure Champions League football. They will have targeted this as a must-win game, especially on a weekend when Newcastle and Chelsea play each other.

Forest have one win in their last six games across all competitions and must improve if they’re to stand any chance of finishing the season strong. Leicester City have nothing to play for, and the stats suggest this should be a straightforward win.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s men won by a two-goal margin when they beat Leicester 3-1 back in October, with Chris Wood scoring twice. Even though he has struggled since his recent return from injury, we are backing him to find the net here.

Hugo Ekitike vs St. Pauli

Frankfurt are within touching distance of Champions League football, starting the round five points clear of fifth with just two games to play.

They have worked themselves into this strong position by losing just one of their previous seven league outings (W4, D2) and will expect to build on that, given their strong home record against visitors St. Pauli (W3, D3).

The visitors could come into the game still looking to secure their own Bundesliga survival, and their recent run of just one win in their last six league matches (D3, L2) has left them with work to do.

Our goalscorer pick for this one is Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike, who has registered six goal contributions (G3, A3) across his past six appearances and 22 goals in 42 appearances this season.

Viktor Gyokeres vs Benfica

Benfica host Sporting in the Primeira Liga’s top-of-the-table clash on Saturday. Both teams are tied on 78 points, with Sporting top of the table thanks to their head-to-head advantage after winning the reverse fixture 1-0.

Benfica are in form, having won their last three league matches and enjoying a run of 18 wins in their last 20 home games. However, Sporting beat Boavista 5-0 two weeks ago and have won their last two league games against Benfica.

This game could be settled by the finest of margins, and Sporting will feel confident knowing they have the best player in the league in Viktor Gyökeres, who has scored 17 goals in his last 12 appearances.

Romelu Lukaku vs Genoa

Napoli defeated Lecce 1-0 last weekend to maintain their three-point lead over Inter Milan in their quest to win a second Serie A title in three seasons. It was their fourth consecutive league win without conceding and took their clean sheet tally to 17 for the season.

Antonio Conte’s men will feel confident of overcoming a Genoa side that haven’t won on the road in 2025 (L5, D4).

Our goalscorer pick for this one is Romelu Lukaku. While his record this season may not be mind-blowing (12 goals in 34 appearances), he has been hugely important to Napoli’s title bid, especially at home, where he has scored seven of his 12 goals.
