WHAT ARE TODAY’S EPL SUPER SUNDAY GAMES?

Super Sunday is a weekly highlight of the English Premier League football calendar, with every Sunday delivering a headline fixture, or two, from the world’s most viewed division.

It is a day fans can look forward to throughout the working week, knowing that they are guaranteed at least one blockbuster matchup with huge stakes, whether that be in the title race, battle for European football, fight for survival or even bragging rights in a major derby.

This Sunday is set to be no different, with an intriguing line-up of top-flight clashes that promise to provide plenty of drama, including undoubtedly the standout fixture of the matchday in the evening.

What are the EPL fixtures on Super Sunday?

Super Sunday kicks off at 3pm with three enticing fixtures all taking place simultaneously, and all three could have huge implications on the table depending on the results on the day.

A major London derby will then headline the day’s action later in the evening, with the game holding significant stakes in the title race and European battle.

Fulham vs Tottenham

European-hopefuls Fulham will welcome relegation-threatened Tottenham Hotspur to Craven Cottage.

The hosts are 10th in the standings with 37 points from 27 games, leaving them just seven points behind the Champions League places and only one behind Bournemouth in eighth, which could reward European qualification come the end of the term.

Meanwhile, the visitors are 16th in the table with just 29 points from 27 league fixtures, leaving them narrowly four points above the dreaded drop zone, meaning they will be eager to pick up points to strengthen their survival hopes.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Michael Carrick’s in-form Manchester United will welcome the struggling Crystal Palace to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have won five and drawn one of their six games since Carrick’s appointment as interim manager, meaning they have climbed to fourth in the table, and they will be looking to strengthen their position in the top four with another win.

Palace, on the other hand, are looking to build momentum following a disastrous period that saw them win just once in a 15-game stretch, but the Eagles now have the chance to make it three straight wins across all competitions.

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest

Middling Brighton & Hove Albion will welcome relegation battling Nottingham Forest to the Amex Stadium.

The Seagulls finally ended a six-game winless run in the Premier League against Brentford last time out, and they will be eager to build momentum heading towards the end of the term by recording another triumph.

Meanwhile, the Tricky Trees are barely above the relegation zone by just two points, and three points could be pivotal in keeping Vitor Pereira’s side in the division come the end of the season.

Arsenal vs Chelsea

English Premier League leaders Arsenal welcome Champions League hopefuls Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners hold a five-point lead over second-placed Manchester City, who have played a game fewer than the leaders, and Mikel Arteta will be desperate to see his side strengthen their grip on top spot by claiming all three points.

Meanwhile, Liam Rosenior’s side have dropped points in back-to-back English Premier League matches, seeing them fall out of the top four into fifth, and the Blues will be eager to both strengthen their Champions League push with a win and also hurt rivals Arsenal’s title charge in the process.
