The 2024 European Championship quarter-finals are set to take place this Friday and Saturday, pitting some of the biggest teams across the continent against each other as they look to advance into the semi-finals and continue their hunt for the trophy.
These four Euro 2024 matches are sure to provide plenty of drama and action as every team gives everything they have to secure the victory, and we’re going to pick our out top tips and booking codes for these fixtures: (90 minutes only)
Spain vs Germany
Kai Havertz has been a constant threat throughout every game in Euro 2024 and currently sits on two goals from his four appearances, leaving him firmly in the race for the Golden Boot come the end of the competition.
The Arsenal forward has been a major part of nearly every positive attacking move that his country have made when he is on the pitch, and while Spain have been strong defensively, we expect Havertz and Germany will cause them plenty of problems. With this, Havertz is a good option to score anytime.
Kai Havertz to score anytime, 3.75
Portugal vs France
Portugal vs France is arguably the standout game of this stage, alongside Spain vs Germany, pitting two of the favourites to go on and lift the trophy against one another.
The overwhelming quality in both squads makes this game extremely difficult to call, but Portugal have looked vulnerable at the back at times and with players such as Kylian Mbappe to exploit them, we believe that France will eventually secure a hard-fought victory.
France to win, 2.45
England vs Switzerland
England have been one of the most underwhelming sides in the tournament, failing to live up to the high expectations that many had placed upon them before the opening day. Progressing through the group with one win and two draws and narrowly making it past Slovakia in the round of 16 after Jude Bellingham’s last-minute equaliser sent the game to extra-time, where Harry Kane scored the winner.
While Switzerland have been one of the most entertaining teams in the competition so far and are likely to give the Three Lions a very difficult game, England should have enough to secure a narrow one goal victory.
England to win by one goal, 3.40
Netherlands vs Turkey
Cody Gakpo once again proved himself as his country’s biggest threat in the final third when they beat Romania 3-0 in the Last 16, scoring the opening goal and assisting another and came close to adding another to his tally on a number of occasions.
The Liverpool forward now has three goals in the tournament, leaving him as the joint top scorer, and we believe his fantastic form in front of goal will continue by getting on the scoresheet once again in this one.
Cody Gakpo to score anytime, 2.75
