The busy winter football schedule carries on over the next few days with games across Europe coming thick and fast.
The European leagues’ domestic cup games have been taking place this week and this continues on Thursday with Spanish Super Cup and Coppa Italia games. Friday then see’s a switch back to league games, most notably with the return of the English Premier League after a two week break.
With so many games taking place over the coming days, we’ve picked out our top tips and booking codes for the upcoming action:
Barcelona to win & over 2.5 goals, 2.38
Last season’s La Liga winners Barcelona match up against last season’s Copa del Rey runners-up Osasuna in this Spanish Super Cup semi-final. Barcelona will be looking to retain the trophy after winning last campaign for the first time since the four-team format was introduced in 2018/19, while Osasuna are looking forward to their first ever appearance in the competition.
Barcelona have lost just once in their last 15 matches against Osasuna and they will be confident of taking the victory in this one and moving into the final. But with Barcelona’s recent inability to close games, with their last 12 wins coming by a one-gal margin, Osasuna will be hopeful they can cause an upset.
While there is no doubt Osasuna will attempt to make the game difficult for Barcelona, we expect the 14-time Super Cup winners will take the victory in this one and move into the final.
Juventus to win & over 2.5 goals, 2.55
After going through a torrid time last season Juventus have turned their fortunes around this year as they sit two points behind Serie A leaders Inter with just one loss across all competitions so far this season. Currently on a 15-game unbeaten streak, Juventus will be extremely confident of setting up a final with either Lazio or Roma as they look to lift their record extending 15th Coppa Italia.
With 29 goals scored in 19 games coming against a Frosinone defence who have conceded 34, there is bound to be goals in this game. Both of the last two meetings between these sides has ended in a Juventus win with over 2.5 goals scored in the 90 minutes and we’re backing this to happen once again.
Luton Town to win, 3.85
Burnley and Luton Town match up on Friday in what is a huge relegation six-pointer for both sides. Both sides currently reside in the bottom three, but Luton hold a game in hand on those around them and a win in this one would see them momentarily move above Everton until their game against Aston Villa on Sunday. A win for Burnley, though, is a must as they are in danger of being left behind with them already sitting five points behind safety.
The last meeting between these sides ended in a 2-1 win in Burnley’s favour and with this one taking place at Turf Moor they will be hopeful of winning once again. However, Luton have been much improved since that defeat recording impressive results against Newcastle United and Liverpool while also taking Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea right down to the wire.
We expect this game to be a fantastically hard-fought match, but with Luton producing some imposing performances in recent weeks we believe they will go on to win this one.
Harry Kane to score anytime, 1.60
Harry Kane has been simply phenomenal since joining Bayern Munich in the summer already scoring 21 goals in the league despite not even being at the halfway point, while he has also scored four in six appearances in the UEFA Champions League.
Bayern are currently producing 8.00 shots on target per match, and Kane is taking 4.36 shots per 90, meaning they are undoubtedly going to create goalscoring chances against a Hoffenheim side who have conceded 30 goals in 16 league games. With Kane’s innate finishing ability, we are backing him to score at least one of these chances in this one.
