More of these big profile exits are sure to happen in the coming days with some huge clashes set to take place, while surprise results are likely to happen as they so often do in the FA Cup.
Read on as we’ve picked out our top tips and booking codes for this year’s FA Cup Fourth Round
Aston Villa to win, 3.30
Chelsea vs Aston Villa
Chelsea haven’t been at their best for the most part of this season once again after a disappointing campaign last season, with the Blues currently residing in ninth place in the English Premier League. On the other hand, Aston Villa have been one of the most impressive sides in the League this season and find themselves in a race for the Champions League spots at just over the halfway point of the season.
Villa have also managed wins in both of their last two encounters with Chelsea and with how they have been playing this season, we believe Aston Villa will win this one and progress to the next round.
Tottenham Hotspur to win, 5.00
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City
Tottenham and Manchester City have enjoyed some massively entertaining games in recent years, including 3-3, 4-2 and 3-2 scorelines in just the past five meetings. One consistent of these games though is Manchester City’s inability to secure a victory in the newly-built Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in which City have lost all five meetings without scoring a single goal since the stadium’s opening in April 2019.
Manchester City will certainly be looking to change this dismal record in the coming game. Their run of results of late has been exceptional and will certainly boost their confidence as they’ve gone nine games without defeat, winning eight in this time. However, Tottenham will take huge confidence from this record in recent years and while we do expect this to be a tough game for both sides, we believe Tottenham will end victorious.
Newcastle United to win, 2.28
Fulham vs Newcastle United
Newcastle United have endured possibly their toughest period since the new ownership arrived back in October 2021, managing just two wins in their last 10 and losing all of the remaining eight. While this will not help the morale of the side coming into this FA Cup tie, one of the wins in this time was a 3-0 battering of upcoming opponents Fulham in the Premier League. Fulham don’t come into the game in the best of form either, going winless in their last three games.
While Newcastle have really struggled to get any wins on the board in the past months, their win over Fulham will boost their confidence coming into the game. For this reason, we believe Newcastle United will take the victory in this one.
Manchester United to win & over 3.5 goals, 1.60
Newport County vs Manchester United
One of the major fairytale stories of this year’s FA Cup see’s lowly Newport County of League Two take on 12-time FA Cup winners Manchester United at Rodney Parade. The 7,850-person capacity stadium is likely to be packed to the rafters with some of the footballing world’s household names set to make appearances.
Newport County will want to make the game as tough as possible for Manchester United and are expected to sit back and hope to catch United on the counter attack. However, the gulf in quality is likely to become extremely apparent in this one and we expect Man United to win rather comfortably.
