3 Managers To Replace Struggling Pochettino At Chelsea

The latest reports are suggesting that Mauricio Pochettino’s time at Chelsea could be up, with him being 7/2 to get sacked, according to UK bookmakers.

Pochettino was only announced as Blues manager in July last year, but things have far from gone to plan for the 51-year-old as his side currently sit 11th in the English Premier League.

The Blues embarrassingly lost 4-2 at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their most recent fixture, which has sparked the rumours that Todd Boehly might be looking to get a new manager in the door.

Here are three established names who could be next in the hotseat at Stamford Bridge.

Roberto De Zerbi

Roberto De Zerbi has done a remarkable job with Brighton & Hove Albion since he joined the club, securing UEFA Europa League football for the first time in their history.

The Italian boss has recently shown his frustrations by the lack of support given in the transfer window by Brighton, so he might be keen to leave to join a club where he is backed financially.

Michel Sanchez

Michel Sanchez has been on the radar of several top European clubs for the superb job with Girona, as the Spanish side are just one point off La Liga leaders Real Madrid, having been top for large parts of the season.

The Spanish manager is 48-years-old and has guided Girona to perform well above expectations, something that a manager at Chelsea has failed to do in recent times, meaning Boehly might be keen to get him in the door as a replacement for Pochettino.

Thomas Frank

Thomas Frank has caught the eye of many clubs after he has transformed Brentford from an EFL Championship side to an established Premier League outfit. The next step for him could be to take on a role at a bigger club.

The style of play with limited resources at Brentford will have attracted Chelsea, and the Danish boss might be excited by the idea of a significantly bigger budget and what he could achieve with more money at his disposal to spend on players.
