Matchday 27 of the English Premier League takes place this weekend and as we move towards the closing stages of the season, every game is starting to become even more important for each team as they find themselves in their respective battles.
The race for the title, European places and battle to avoid relegation are all currently shaping up with the potential to be some of the most entertaining and dramatic that the league has seen in years. With this, every game is sure to provide plenty of action and drama as teams are desperate to get their points on the board.
Read on as we pick out our top tips and booking codes for the upcoming fixtures:
Everton vs West Ham United
After going without a goal for five games, his longest dry spell of the season so far, Jarrod Bowen was back among them in West Ham’s last game against Brentford. Two goals in the opening seven minutes gave the Hammers the perfect start to the game and Bowen secured his hattrick in the 63rd minute to help fire West Ham to a 4-2 victory, their first win in any competition since the turn of the year.
These three goals have taken Bowen to 14 in the league already his highest tally in a Premier League season, while he is just one behind his highest-scoring season in all competitions since joining West Ham in 2019/20 with 17 so far.
West Ham will be hugely boosted thanks to finally claiming their first win in 2024 in their last one, and with this we expect them to win this one. When West Ham win Bowen often plays a part, and we believe he will go on to score again.
Jarrod Bowen to score anytime, 3.75
Fulham vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Fulham come into this one on the back of a huge victory over Manchester United in their last game, courtesy of a 97th minute winner from Alex Iwobi. This win took them further away from the relegation zone with them now 12 points ahead of Luton Town in 18th place, while they are just three points behind their West London rivals Chelsea in 11th.
Brighton, on the other hand, lost their previous game against Wolves in the FA Cup. Despite dominating the game with 72% possession and 18 shots to Wolves’ nine, the Seagulls were unable to find an answer to Mario Lemina’s second-minute goal and went on to lose 1-0. This was their second disappointing result in a row after they had to rescue a point in the 95th minute against Everton in their last Premier League game after having 23 shots to Everton’s six.
We think that this game may follow a similar path for Brighton with them dominating the possession but unable to take the victory. Fulham’s home record this season has seen them pick up 22 points, the eighth most of any side in the league, and we believe they will go on to win this one.
Fulham to win, 2.70
Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace
Tottenham come into this game still firmly in the race to finish in the UEFA Champions League places with them currently sitting five points behind fifth-placed Aston Villa, albeit with a game in hand that could see them reduce that gap to two points.
Thanks to the postponement of their game against Chelsea last weekend, because of Chelsea’s EFL Cup Final involvement, Spurs have had two weeks’ rest leading into this one. This should give Tottenham the upper hand with Crystal Palace having played twice in the time since Spurs’ last game.
Palace’s last game saw them win their first game under new boss Oliver Glasner in stylish fashion. Three goals, fifteen shots and a 2.40xG showed Crystal Palace’s new attacking intentions while they also only allowed Burnley to have two shots of their own. This performance will certainly give the Eagles confidence coming into this one, but Spurs will be a different level of opponent than Burnley and we believe Tottenham will win this one in the end.
Tottenham Hotspur to win, 1.48
