The International games have been coming thick and fast since many of the major domestic league seasons came to an end late last month, and more of the same is set to come later today.

Netherlands vs Iceland

The Netherlands come into their final pre-European Championships warm-up friendly on the back of a fantastic 4-0 win over Canada in their previous game, an extremely dominant performance that will give their side hope of a successful tournament.

They will need to follow that victory up with another positive performance in this game against an Iceland side who just beat England 1-0 at Wembley Stadium. Despite having very little of the ball, Iceland looked equally as threatening as the Three Lions and got the winning goal early in the first half.

While Iceland will likely give the Netherlands a difficult game, we do believe that the home side will be too strong for the visitors and make it two wins in their two warm-up games.

Poland vs Turkey

Piotr Zielinski is not known for his goalscoring exploits, only scoring 12 goals in 89 appearances for his country and 51 in 364 matches for Napoli. However, the midfielder has been in great goalscoring form in recent matches, scoring two in his last three games for his national team and three in his last seven across all competitions for club and country.

Zielinski was a key part in Poland’s dismantling of Ukraine in their previous outing, and we expect he will have a similar impact on this game against Turkey. With this, we believe that Zielinski will continue his scoring streak and get another goal in this one.

Benin vs Nigeria

Nigeria come into this game against Benin in desperate need of a first victory in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification group, amassing just three points from their opening three games with all three ending 1-1.

Their most recent outing saw the Super Eagles held to a 1-1 draw by South Africa despite a dominant performance from Finidi George’s side, leaving Nigeria fifth in Group C but just one point behind second-place Rwanda on four points.

Benin moved into third in the group with a 1-0 victory over Rwanda in their last outing, but Nigeria are coming into this game as the strong favourites to pick up their first victory. We believe that George’s men will finally get their first victory on the board in this game and use that as a springboard to move up the table and eventually secure their place in the coming World Cup.
