This weekend’s games are the final ones before the two-week international break takes place, with this being the final one before the end of the season.
Six of the English Premier League matches have been postponed ahead of this weekend due to their involvement in the FA Cup quarter-finals that will also be happening over the course of Saturday and Sunday, leaving just four Premier League games to occur.
Despite just four games set to transpire, some of these hold huge weight in the on-going race for European qualification places and also the battle to avoid the drop.

Luton Town vs Nottingham Forest
Luton Town have shown plenty of promise in their long-awaited return to the English top flight. This journey has been 31 years in the making, starting with them being relegated from the top division the year before the conception of the Premier League and then plummeting down the divisions and out of the EFL altogether. They then made a remarkable climb back from the Conference Premier in 2013/14 to eventually winning the EFL Championship play-offs and entering the Premier League for the 2023/24 season.
They sit just three points below their upcoming opponents Nottingham Forest and despite not picking up a victory in eight games across all competitions, they have shown a good level of performance. The Hatters will be looking to replicate these positive performances in this game, while they will be hoping they can hold on to any potential leads this time around after throwing away multiple winning positions in recent games.
Forest have also struggled in recent weeks, managing just two wins in their last 10 games across all competitions, and they will be looking to move six points away from the relegation zone with a victory here.
We expect this to be an extremely tight game between two sides who are battling to extend their stay in the Premier League. Luton Town hold the home advantage in this one and we believe the crowd will create an atmosphere that will help their side claim the victory.

Burnley vs Brentford
Many people had high expectations for Vincent Kompany’s Burnley side after their impressive 101-point title-winning season in the Championship last season. However, they have extremely underperformed compared to people’s predictions as they have managed just three wins and five draws in their 28 games played thus far.
Brentford have also failed to deliver in comparison to their accomplishment in the previous campaign where they finished ninth. This time around they find themselves in the on-going relegation battle as they sit in 15th and just five points clear of Luton in the relegation zone.
Burnley’s home record has been abysmal so far this season, picking up just five points from a possible 42. While they will be desperate to pick up the three points as they fight to stay in the top flight, we cannot see them picking up any points against the Brentford side who strolled to a 3-0 victory in the previous match-up.

Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur
Heung-min Son was given the tough task of taking up the striker position that was left vacant by Tottenham’s all-time top scorer Harry Kane in the summer, but the South Korean has done a brilliant job in filling his boots.
In his 24 appearances in the league this season Son has scored 14 goals, while also assisting another eight, leaving him just four behind the brilliant Erling Haaland who currently leads the Premier League’s goalscoring charts.
Son has scored in both of Tottenham’s previous two games heading into this one, including one against Aston Villa who are their opponents in the race to finish in the top four.
Fulham’s defence has been far from solid this year as they’ve conceded 44 goals in 28 games, and Spurs will certainly make the most of these frailties by creating their fair share of chances. We expect that Son will bury one of these chances and get on the scoresheet in this one.

West Ham United vs Aston Villa
Another player who has been in fantastic goalscoring form for their clubs is Ollie Watkins, who sits second in the Premier League’s top-scorers list with 16 so far this campaign.
This is already Watkins’s highest-scoring season in the English top flight and he comes into this game against West Ham in great form as he has scored five goals in his last five games.
Aston Villa’s attacking prowess has been one of the main reasons for their fantastic league position so far, while West Ham have struggled to keep the ball out of their net with 49 goals conceded in 28 games. Watkins will fancy himself to pile more misery onto a West Ham side who have managed just two victories in their nine Premier League games since the turn of the year, and we back him to get on the scoresheet.
