Three Clubs England’s Declan Rice Could Join This Summer

This summer could be the transfer window that Declan Rice finally leaves West Ham United.

The Hammers have struggled this season as they find themselves sitting in 14th place in the English Premier League but have a chance at European success in the Europa Conference League final.

The 24-year-old has been in excellent form and with more than 40 caps for England, there will be no shortage of interest for the midfielder. We looked at his options.

Arsenal

The Gunners have been heavily linked with Declan Rice throughout the majority of this season, and with Granit Xhaka looking like he is leaving the Emirates Stadium, the Englishman could be a perfect replacement.

Arsenal now have UEFA Champions League football to offer for next season, so this could be a huge factor in terms of attracting world-class talent this summer.

However, Moises Caicedo is another central midfielder who has been linked with a move to the Gunners, so it will be interesting to see whether Mikel Arteta will go all guns blazing for Rice or the Colombian. The £100m price tag for Rice could be a stumbling block for Rice, too.

Chelsea

Declan Rice spent time in the Chelsea youth academy, and is well known to be best friends with current Blues star Mason Mount so he could certainly end up at Stamford Bridge next season.

However, Chelsea spent big at the start of the season and opted to bring in Enzo Fernandez for more than £100m so it might be hard to see Todd Boehly splash the cash on another player in that position, even though they could afford the asking price.

Bayern Munich

Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich are the latest side linked with Declan Rice this summer, and with Joshua Kimmich potentially leaving, the West Ham captain could be the perfect replacement.

Rice moving to Germany is one that might shock many, after he has established himself in the Premier League, so this could be seen as a backwards move.

With Bayern having Champions League football, this could be a pull for the Englishmen as other clubs linked, such as Chelsea, cannot offer any European football next season at all.
