The UEFA Champions League quarter-final second legs are set to kick off on Tuesday when Barcelona host PSG at Camp Nou and Atletico Madrid make the journey to Signal Iduna Park to face Borussia Dortmund.
With both ties currently having leaders, Barcelona winning 3-2 and Atletico Madrid 2-1, these matches are sure to provide plenty of drama as PSG and Dortmund attempt to get back into the tie.
Read on as we pick out our top tips and booking codes for Tuesday’s UCL fixtures:
Barcelona vs PSG
Robert Lewandowski is still scoring plenty of goals at the ripe old age of 35, leading Barcelona’s goalscoring charts in both the Champions League and La Liga, with three and 13 respectively.
While the striker has failed to score in any of his last four games for club and country, he did miss two huge chances against PSG in the first leg, showcasing his ability to get into goalscoring positions.
With PSG also trailing in this game they will have to be on the offensive, leaving gaps for Lewandowski to get shots off. With this, we believe Lewandowski will score in this one.
Robert Lewandowski to score anytime, 2.40
Barcelona currently lead this tie 3-2 after coming from 2-1 behind in France, in a game that the Spanish giants had the better of the opportunities. PSG will certainly be looking to get revenge in this one with them likely to be extremely offensive throughout the match, leaving plenty of space for Barcelona to attack. This makes us believe that Barcelona will be victorious in this one and progress through to the next round.
Barcelona to win, 2.24
Borussia Dortmund vs Atletico Madrid
Antoine Griezmann has been enjoying one of the best seasons of any player in the top European leagues during this campaign, scoring 21 and assisting eight across all competitions for his club.
The forward scored twice in Atletico Madrid’s last outing as they beat Girona 3-1, and the Frenchman was instrumental in his side’s 2-1 victory in the first leg of this tie. While he was unable to get on the scoresheet in the first game, we believe Griezmann will show his class once again and get a goal in this one.
Antoine Griezmann to score anytime, 3.25
Atletico Madrid come into this game having won all of their previous three games across all competitions, including the 2-1 victory in the first leg of this match. Despite Dortmund holding 67% of the ball in the first match, Atletico Madrid enjoyed the much better chances as they created 2.18xG to Dortmund’s 0.87.
With Dortmund now having to be the more offensive side to get back into the game, we believe this will play into Diego Simeone’s hands as his team are expert on the counterattack. For these reasons, we believe Atletico Madrid will win this one.
Atletico Madrid to win, 3.05
