This year’s Saudi Pro League has arguably been the biggest in its history after a summer full of big-name signings from some of the biggest clubs around Europe, leaving plenty of eyes focusing on the league throughout this season.
Just five matchdays of this season now remain, leaving the races for survival and for third spot, earning qualification to the AFC Champions League Elite, becoming even more intense.
With this, we’re going to take a look at the best booking codes for this week’s upcoming fixtures:
AL Ahli Saudi vs Damac
AL Ahli Saudi come into this game holding onto the precious third place in the league which would see them qualify for the Champions League Elite if they remain in that position by the end of the season. While this will be a hard task, they currently hold a game in hand on those around them that could prove vital to create a safety buffer going into the final games of the year.
They come into this one in rather poor form since returning from the winter break, winning just three of the nine games since the league restarted in February, losing three and drawing the remaining three.
Damac will fancy their chances because of this underwhelming run, but the visitors have had their own struggles of late. Two wins in their last 11 league matches, including seven defeats in this time, has left Damac out of the race for the top three and destined for a mid-table finish.
With this, we believe that the home side will take their chance to return to winning ways against another underperforming side in this one.

AL Taawoun vs Al-Hilal Saudi FC
After failing to win the Saudi Pro League for the first time in four years last season, Al-Hilal have got back to their best this time around and look destined to finish the season as champions once again.
They currently lead the table by nine points while they also boast a game in hand on those around them, leaving them in an extremely strong position to top the table come the end of the year.
AL Taawoun will likely be no easy task for the league leaders though, with the hosts sitting in fourth and just a point behind third-placed AL Ahli as they battle it out for the final qualification spot to the Champions League Elite.
Despite this, the visitors are by far the superior side and come into this game having avoided defeat in all of their last seven trips to the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium, winning six and drawing one. For these reasons, we believe that Al-Hilal will go on to win this one.

Abha Club vs AL Ittihad
Despite picking up arguably the two biggest signings from Europe during the summer in Karim Benzema, who had won the Ballon d’Or less than a year earlier, and N’Golo Kante, AL Ittihad have struggled to reach the heights they would have imagined following these acquisitions.
They come into this game fifth in the table and two points behind third-placed AL Ahli, who hold a game in hand over AL Ittihad, leaving every remaining game as crucial in their efforts to get into the top three.
AL Ittihad are strong favourites to win this one too, with Abha Club 17th with just 25 points from 29 games played. However, the hosts will be looking to put up a fight as they trail safety by just two points, leaving their hopes of staying in the league for a sixth successive season very much alive.
Despite this, we still believe that the quality of AL Ittihad’s squad will prove far too much for the hosts with the visitors going on to take the three points here.
AL Ittihad to win & over 3.5 goals, 2.79
