Chelsea vs Liverpool
Sunday 13 August, 16:30
Stamford Bridge
Chelsea have seen a lot of movement in this summer transfer window with a haul of players leaving the club and several new faces being added to Mauricio Pochettino’s new squad.
Unfortunately for the Blues new signing Christopher Nkunku will be sidelined for the foreseeable future due to a knee injury but new signings Nicolas Jackson and Axel Disasi, will be expected to feature against Liverpool.
Pochettino’s side were unbeaten in their last five pre-season fixtures and although it is only pre-season, this is a good sign ahead of what could be an exciting season for the young Chelsea squad.
Liverpool have also endured in a busy summer transfer window, with key players such as Fabinho and Jordan Henderson leaving, but Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have been introduced.
The re-shuffle of the Reds squad was certainly needed after last term they failed to reach the heights that they previously, so the faithful will be hoping that the new players can get them back in the Champions League.
Liverpool are on the brink of signing Moises Caicedo for a record-breaking fee of £111m, so if all goes well then he might be handed a start on Sunday against Chelsea, the side also in competition for his signature.
