5. Lois Openda, 21 goals

Since Openda’s arrival in Germany last summer, he has certainly proven his worth as he is currently fifth place in the Golden Shoe race with 21 league goals in 28 appearances.

Openda is the third top goal scorer in the Bundesliga this term, where he has averaged a goal every 105 minutes, and been the star man for his side throughout the campaign for Leipzig.

4. Lautaro Martinez, 23 goals

Inter Milan forward Martinez is currently the top goal scorer in the Serie A with 23 goals in 28 league games, which is eight more than anyone else in the Italian league.

The Argentine talisman has been heavily linked with a move away from Inter, with several top clubs across Europe in the race to lure him away from the club.

3. Serhou Guirassy, 24 goals

Guirassy has a miraculous goal scoring record this term, as he has missed large chunks due to injury, but has still netted 24 times in 22 Bundesliga appearances for Stuttgart.

There is no doubt that the Guinea forward will be on the radar of the top sides in world football this summer, but he is expected to cost a large amount if he was to leave Stuttgart after the season he has had.

2. Kylian Mbappe, 24 goals

Mbappe has already agreed to sign for Real Madrid in the summer, but he is still providing the goods for PSG, finding the back of the net 24 times in Ligue 1, and is second in the race for the Golden Shoe.

The French forward has averaged 24 goals per season since his arrival in Paris, so he will be a major miss when he parts way with the club in the summer to join Madrid.

1. Harry Kane, Bayern Munich – 32 goals

Although Bayern Munich have slipped out of contention in the league this term, normal service has resumed for Kane in terms of goals, as is currently the top goal scorer in Europe’s top leagues with an astounding 32 goals in 28 Bundesliga games.

The English forward has already netted four hat-tricks for Bayern this term, and has also been in superb in the UEFA Champions League, where his side are currently in the quarter-final of the competition. Currently eight goals ahead of second place, Kane looks set to win the Golden Shoe for the first time in his career.
