The previous few weeks has seen the initial rounds of the FIFA Club World Cup take place, and with these now settled, the final and third place final takes centre stage on Friday at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The final will see the champions of Europe, Manchester City, take on Brazilian giants and the champions of South America, Fluminense, in the 20th final of the tournament. While the third place final is between Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds and the Egyptian outfit Al Ahly.

Manchester City may not be in the best form coming into this game, winning just one of their last six English Premier League games which has seen them slip down to fourth in the table from top spot. They will also be weakened in this final as they are still without Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku despite the three of them travelling with the squad for the game.
Despite this, their quality is undoubtedly higher than that of Fluminense and so last season’s European treble winners will be extremely confident coming into the game.
Fluminense, similarly to Manchester City, have struggled in recent weeks as they lost the final two games of their Brasileiro Serie A campaign and ended the season in a disappointing seventh place. They will certainly know how tough the task at hand is set to be, but Fluminense will be hoping they can become the first non-European side to win the Club World Cup since Corinthians back in 2012.
With all of this in mind, we expect Manchester City to rather comfortably win this game and create history by becoming the first English club to win five trophies in a single calendar year.

Goals should be aplenty, and although he didn’t start in the semi-final, Julian Alvarez will be expected to fill the shoes of Erling Haaland and add to his eight goals already this season.
