This year’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 kicks off this week with the first two games taking place on Tuesday evening and the second set of two following on the Wednesday.
Wednesday’s games see Champions League hopeful’s PSG take on Real Sociedad while one of the favourites to go on and win the competition in Bayern Munich travel to the Stadio Olimpico to face up against Lazio.
With drama sure to take place, we’ve picked out our top tips and booking codes for Wednesday’s games:
PSG vs Real Sociedad
PSG remain as one of Europe’s biggest sides to have never won the Champions League, even with the huge investment that the club has seen since the Qatari takeover of the club in 2011. This has seen some of the world’s greatest players play for the Parisian club from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Neymar to Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, but none of them have been able to claim the Champions League title for the club so far.

Real Sociedad, on the other hand, sit seventh in La Liga and are going through a tough spell coming into this game. They have been unable to score in any of their last four games leaving them with three draws and a loss, with their last goal coming in their 2-1 win over Celta Vigo on the 23 January.
With these differing performance levels coming into this game, as well as the overall quality of PSG’s team, we believe that PSG will go on to win this one.

Lazio vs Bayern Munich
Another of Europe’s most in-form sides is Bayern Munich, who come into this game as one of the potential favourites to go on and win this year’s tournament.
Bayern Munich unbelievably sit second in the Bundesliga after losing at the weekend to a Bayer Leverkusen side who are still to be beaten in any competition this season, leaving Bayern’s record of winning every single league title for 11 straight years under threat. This loss is sure to make Bayern desperate to return to winning ways in their game against Lazio, and with Lazio struggling this season we fancy Bayern to win.
Lazio have lost eight Serie A games already this season, equalling their losses for the entirety of last season, leaving them down in eighth place. Just two wins in their last five matches leaves them in questionable form coming into this one, and we expect that they will take another loss against Bayern Munich in this one.
Bayern Munich to win, 1.68
Harry Kane has been rather phenomenal since joining Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window. Kane has played 28 games for his club across all competitions so far managing an impressive 28 goals, including 24 goals in 21 appearances in the Bundesliga.
We believe that Kane will continue his goalscoring ways in this one and score yet again for Bayern Munich against Lazio.
