We have reached the business end of the season, which means there is so much more to play for, and this is when the best players must stand up and be counted. This weekend is packed with some exciting fixtures and potential goal-fests.

Here are our top five goalscorer bets for this weekend.

Erling Haaland vs Chelsea

Manchester City have had two massive results in the past two games, and no one will bet against them continuing that run against Chelsea this weekend.

Erling Haaland, who has endured an underwhelming season by his standards, is back among the goals, tallying 4 in his last 3 games. Pep Guardiola’s men are still in the title race and will be desperate to win every game from now till the end of the season.

Regardless of the result, City seem to have rediscovered their attacking touch, and Haaland is the biggest beneficiary of that. We are backing the Norwegian to find the net against Chelsea this weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo vs Al Okhdood

Al Nassr are two points clear at the top of the Saudi Pro League, which means Cristiano Ronaldo is closing in on his first league title since moving to the SPL. The 41-year-old is still as hungry as ever to score goals, and his run of 6 goals in his last 4 games puts him at 23 league goals, just four behind leading scorer Ivan Toney.

Al Nassr have also won their last 15 games, including scoring 23 goals in the last 6, which suggests this could be a high-scoring affair. Ronaldo is a great bet to keep this outrageous run going in what should be an easy win for Al Nassr.

Vangelis Pavlidis vs Nacional

Benfica are still in the title race, but the margins for defeat are very slim now. They must beat Nacional this weekend and hope that Sporting and Porto drop points.

Jose Mourinho’s men will feel confident as they are unbeaten in their last 10 league games and haven’t lost in this fixture since 2010.

Our pick to score anytime is Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis. The 27-year-old started the season on fire for Benfica but has slowed down in recent weeks. However, this could be a great fixture for him to rediscover his scoring boots, especially as he is just 3 goals behind Luis Suarez in the race for the golden boot.

Pavlidis to score anytime @1.50

Harry Kane vs St Pauli

Bayern Munich continue their march to their 35th Bundesliga title when they travel to face relegation-threatened St Pauli this weekend. The league leaders will be in buoyant mood after an impressive midweek win over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League and will be heavy favourites for another win.

We also expect goals to flow as Bayern have scored at least 3 goals in 8 of their last 10 games. Our pick to score anytime is Harry Kane, who has been managed carefully by Bayern boss Vincent Kompany after picking up a knock on England duty. Kane has 10 goals in his last 7 games and is excellent value to score again.

Troy Parrott vs Heerenveen

AZ Alkmaar have had an underwhelming season but will aim to finish the campaign strong, with a potential top four spot within reach. One player who has been key to some of their better performances is Ireland forward Troy Parrott. The 24-year-old has scored 14 league goals this season, including 5 in his last 5 games.

Parrott has 28 goals in all competitions this season, an incredible number for one of Europe’s most underrated forwards. Matches between these two sides have been high-scoring affairs, with 23 goals in the last 4 meetings. We expect another thrilling affair here.

Parrott to score anytime @2.50
