2025 gave us some big wins, and we are determined to do even better in 2026. Most of the big leagues are back after the festive break, including the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), meaning we can expect plenty of football and, most importantly, goals this weekend.
Here are five well-researched goalscorer bets to place this weekend.
1. Erling Haaland vs Chelsea
Manchester City stumbled in the title race, dropping points against a resolute Sunderland side, but they were dominant and, on another day, could have scored two or three goals. Pep Guardiola’s men welcome managerless Chelsea to the Etihad this weekend, where they have won 10 of their last 11 games.
They are ruthless at home, winning eight straight games without even conceding in their last three.
Our pick to score anytime is striker Erling Haaland. The Norwegian is the league’s top scorer with 19 goals, including five in his last five games. We expect him to compound Chelsea’s misery this weekend.

2. Brahim Diaz vs Tanzania
Morocco are favourites to win AFCON on home soil and now appear to be hitting full speed, which could be scary for Round of 16 opponents Tanzania. The Atlas Lions took a while to get going in their opening win against Comoros and could only draw with Mali, but they rounded off their group campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win over Zambia.
They are heavy favourites to record a big win here, and we believe Brahim Diaz is an excellent choice. The Real Madrid man has been the standout performer, scoring in all three group matches. As the designated penalty taker, his chances are significantly boosted.

3. Leandro Trossard vs Bournemouth
Arsenal highlighted their title credentials in style on Tuesday with a 4-1 win over Aston Villa, and they will be looking to keep that momentum going against Bournemouth on Saturday. The Cherries are in bad shape, winless in 10 games and suffering some heavy defeats in the process.
Expect Arsenal to run up the score against a Bournemouth defence that has conceded 11 goals in their last four games.
Our pick is Leandro Trossard. The Belgian always seems to pop up with important goals and currently leads the Gunners’ scoring charts this season.

4. Ademola Lookman vs Mozambique
Nigeria’s games recently have been full of excitement with both teams scoring in the last six. There have also been at least three goals in six of their last eight.
Meanwhile, “Over 2.5 goals” has been a winning bet in four of Mozambique’s last five matches, while the Super Eagles have been scoring goals for fun, netting eight goals across three games.
Our pick to score anytime is Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman, who has been the standout attacker of the tournament so far, leading the competition with four goal involvements (two goals and two assists).
Lookman to score anytime @2.75
5. Vangelis Pavlidis vs Estoril
Benfica will be aiming to kickstart 2026 on a positive note as they welcome Estoril Praia to the Estadio da Luz on Saturday. Jose Mourinho’s men currently sit third in the Primeira Liga, 10 points behind leaders Porto. Any further slip-up would severely dent their pursuit of a 39th league title.
While home performances have been inconsistent, the Eagles are expected to win this comfortably against an opponent they historically dominate.
Our pick to score anytime is Greek forward Vangelis Pavlidis. The 27-year-old is in sensational form with 14 league goals this season, five of which have come in his last six appearances.
Bet: Pavlidis to score anytime @1.65
