This is the period when teams rotate their squad as they play many games in a week. So, we have to research well to pick the best games.

The selections for the weekend are below:

Arsenal vs Everton

Arsenal have come through their February wobble and know that victory here will send them 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League, albeit maybe only for a couple of hours.

Everton have won their last two games to get their European charge right back on track and will be hoping to cause a shock at the Emirates, but have just recorded a win against Arsenal in the last 20 years.

PREDICTION: Arsenal to win at 1.40

Dortmund vs Augsburg

Borussia Dortmund capitalised on Jahmai Simpson-Pusey’s red card last weekend, beating FC Köln 2-1.

Augsburg looked to be heading for a point away from home against RB Leipzig in their most recent Bundesliga outing, but a 92nd-minute Arthur Chaves own goal sealed their defeat. Still, with five wins from their last seven league fixtures, the visitors remain well clear of the relegation dogfight.

PREDICTION: Dortmund to win either halves at 1.22

Frankfurt vs Heidenheim

Eintracht Frankfurt boasted 72 per cent possession against a relegation-threatened St. Pauli side last weekend but were unable to find the target, settling for a goalless draw. They will be hoping to return to winning ways against another relegation-threatened team.

FC Heidenheim, however, are staring down the barrel at relegation back to the 2. Bundesliga. Frank Schmidt’s men scored twice in the second half against Hoffenheim but couldn’t avoid a heavy home defeat.

They are now winless in 12 and are six points adrift at the bottom.

PREDICTION: Frankfurt to win at 1.55

Coventry City vs Southampton

Coventry made no mistake against a free-falling Preston side on Wednesday night, scoring three times inside the opening 50 minutes to seal a comfortable home win.

Southampton needed an injury-time Cyle Larin goal to avoid an away defeat against a relegation-threatened West Brom side in midweek.

The home side are eight points clear at the top and will be looking to extend the gap.

PREDICTION: Coventry to win either halves at 1.41

Monaco vs Brest

Monaco have won their last four games in a row and are currently unbeaten in their previous seven. At home, they’ve won three on the bounce, while they sit top of the form table for the last six games.

Brest are also on an unbeaten run, unbeaten in their previous six. They’ve found things more difficult on the road, winning just three times away from home all season.

PREDICTION: Monaco to win either halves at 1.34

AZ Alkmaar vs Heracles

AZ Alkmaar welcome struggling Heracles to the AFAS Stadion looking to maintain their push for European qualification.

Heracles, meanwhile, arrive in far more difficult circumstances. Ernest Faber’s team are winless in their last five league games and have lost four of them.

PREDICTION: AZ Alkmaar to win at 1.42

Feyenoord vs Excelsior

The Rotterdam derby returns to De Kuip with Feyenoord aiming to strengthen their hold on second place while struggling Excelsior attempt to halt a slide toward the relegation battle.

PREDICTION: Feyenoord to win at 1.30

PSV vs NEC

A meeting between the league leaders and one of the season’s surprise packages headlines Saturday evening at the Philips Stadion as PSV Eindhoven host NEC Nijmegen.

PSV come into the match in strong form, having won four of their last five league games and currently riding a three-match winning streak.

NEC, meanwhile, continue to exceed expectations under Dick Schreuder. Although their recent run has been slightly inconsistent (W-L-D-D-L).

PREDICTION: PSV to win at 1.46
