El-Shazly was known for his ability with both feet, and is the fourth top scorer with 12 goals for Egypt at AFCON.
Didier Drogba, Cote d’Ivorie

Hossam Hassan, Egypt

Hassan is Egypt’s all-time leading goal scorer with 83 goals in 176 appearances and he notched 11 times across several AFCON competitions.
Patrick Mboma, Cameroon

Mbomba is the second Cameroonian on our list and he is the fourth all-time goal scorer for his nation with 33 goals.
Kalusha Bwalya, Zambia

Bwalya is another man who has reached double figures in goals at AFCON and he is Zambia’s third all-time top goal scorer and his nations eighth most capped player.
Santos, Tunisia

Santos will go down as one of Tunisia’s greatest ever players after he was joint top goal scorer at AFCON 2004 which helped his nation win the tournament.
Joel Tiehi, Cote d’Ivorie

Joel Tiehi also reached 10 goals at AFCON while playing for Cote d’Ivorie, and played a key role in the side when they won the 1992 competition.
