The Bet9ja FPL League August Review

With August now in the past and with it the first month of Fantasy Premier League complete, the time has come to look at the opening fixtures’ best performers in the Bet9ja FPL League.

You can join our league with more than 20,000 other players here!

To nobody’s surprise, Erling Haaland leads the way in terms of individual points scored with 39, but the supporting cast coming in just behind him are some lesser-known faces.

Bryan Mbeumo, Solly March and Jarrod Bowen have all been among the goals in the opening weeks, contributing to their teams’ impressive starts to the season.

The August Bet9ja FPL Leader

Ejiata Austin jr’s team Xarelto CF leads the way in our members’ league, with a massive 233 points across the first month of the season.

Ejiata’s team has remained consistent throughout in terms of selection and performance, with his best week coming in the first matchday, with 85 points. For being top at the end of the first month, Ejjata wins 200,000 NGN!

In Gameweek 3, which was a low-scoring set of fixtures for much of the FPL community, his selection of Matty Cash as a defender and Raheem Sterling paid off big time, with each player scoring 17 and 19 points respectively to separate Xarelto CF from the pack.

Gameweek 4 Review

Gameweek 4 was one to remember for plenty of players in FPL, with three hat-trick scorers across the English Premier League fixtures.

Erling Haaland netted his seventh Manchester City hat-trick in a 5-1 win against Fulham – although the big Norwegian hasn’t scored at quite the same rate as he did last season, he is still scoring at a remarkable rate and is a must-have in any FPL team, as proven by his status as the most selected player in the game.

Spurs’ new captain Heung-Min Son netted a hat-trick against Burney, making it the third consecutive season in which he’s got off the mark with a trio of goals.

With Harry Kane’s departure seemingly not affecting Spurs’ goalscoring, the South Korean looks to be an intelligent pick as a midfielder in FPL, largely due to him playing as a centre forward for the North London club.

Irishman Evan Ferguson has burst onto the scene in the last 9 months – at just 18 years old he looks like a player who will become one of the best centre forwards in the world very soon.

His match-winning hat trick against Newcastle showed his massive potential, and if he can return from injury after the international break he will definitely prove a good value signing at just £6m.
