Top 3 Managers To Replace Graham Potter At Chelsea

On Sunday, Graham Potter was relieved of his duties as Chelsea manager following a disappointing 2-0 home defeat against Aston Villa in the English Premier League.

It seemed like it was only a matter of time before the English boss left Chelsea, due to the constant poor results and how much the Blues have struggled in recent times. The Blues have only won three league matches in 13 played this year.

There have been several names linked with the job at Stamford Bridge, and we picked our top three choice of who could become manager.

Julian Nagelsmann

Julian Nagelsmann was recently sacked from his role as first-team manager at Bayern Munich, in order to allow Thomas Tuchel to come in the door, and the young German manager has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

The 35-year-old has not only drawn interest from Chelsea, but also Premier League counterparts Tottenham Hotspur, after Antonio Conte was recently dismissed and they are still currently without a manager.

The issue for Chelsea might not only be competition from Spurs, but also whether the manager will want to join the club with just 10 games to go of the season.

Roberto De Zerbi

Chelsea have been linked with a potential move for Brighton & Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi, despite the Italian signing a four-year-deal at the club in September following Potter’s exit.

It is safe to say that the Seagulls faithful would not be best pleased if the Blues came in again and took their manager, especially after how well he has done, with Brighton currently sitting sixth in the Premier League.

The Italian boss is very much a fans favourite at Brighton and has done an extremely good job since his arrival in England, but the board will be keen to keep him at the club so it could be a tough one for Todd Boehly to get over the line.

Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique is another man who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since the dismissal of Potter, and with him currently out of work, this could be an easier task for the Blues to get over the line.

The Spanish boss had great success as a manager at Barcelona, where he most notably won the Champions League, the Spanish cup three times and La Liga twice.

Enrique has expressed his desire to work in England in the past, so this could be a move that he is certainly open to, but he has also said that the role would have to be the right fit for him, so he might take his time to decide whether he wants to take on the role at Stamford Bridge.
