The Best Big 7 EPL Clubs’ Pre-Season Goals

With just over two weeks to go before the return of the English Premier League, England’s big seven clubs are in the process of building up their fitness on pre-season tours whilst attempting to integrate new signings into their squad. Over the course of these fixtures some outstanding goals have been scored- here are each team’s best strike from the last few weeks.

Manchester City – John Stones vs Yokahama

Treble winners Manchester City found themselves behind to Japanese side Yokohama before John Stones pulled out a brilliant strike to pull a goal back for the English champions. A strike that Kevin de Bruyne would have been proud of, Stones curled the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box away from the goalkeeper’s grasp.

Arsenal – Fabio Vieira vs Barcelona

Fabio Vieira failed to make a huge impact in North London last season, but produced a moment of magic to secure the win for Arsenal against Barcelona in the USA. The Portuguese youngster got on the end of a neat lay off before smashing the ball past Marc-André Ter Stegen into the top corner from outside the box.

Manchester United – Jadon Sancho vs Arsenal

Manchester United and Arsenal met in front of a record crowd at the MetLife Stadium, with English winger Jadon Sancho racing through The Gunners’ defence before blasting the ball into the roof of the net in a 2-0 win for The Red Devils.

Chelsea – Mikhaylo Mudryk vs Brighton

Ukrainian wonderkid Mikhaylo Mudryk failed to live up to expectations in a difficult season for Chelsea last year, but showed his quality here against Brighton. Running onto a flick from new signing Nicolas Jackson, Mudryk hammered the bouncing ball into the back of The Seagulls’ net to net his first goal in a Chelsea shirt.

Newcastle United – Miguel Almiron vs Chelsea

Miguel Almiron netted a well-worked team goal for The Magpies against Chelsea, but former Everton man Anthony Gordon deserves a lot of the credit. Picking the ball up well inside his own half, the winger burst into space before making a perfect pass through to the Paraguayan who finished coolly for Newcastle.

Tottenham – Harry Kane vs Rangers

In a 3-1 victory over Scottish giants Rangers, Harry Kane showed his quality as he curved a trademark finish into the top corner from the edge of the box. Spurs fans will definitely hope that they’ll be seeing more Kane magic next season, with Bayern Munich lurking in hope of a big-money transfer.

Liverpool – Diogo Jota vs Karlsruher SC

Diogo Jota netted a superbly worked team goal for Liverpool against German side Karlsruher SC, getting onto the end of Cody Gakpo’s clever flick before dancing through a couple of challenges and sliding the ball past the goalkeeper to win the game for Liverpool.
