Liverpool late controversial winner
Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool
The main talking point from the weekend was the late drama in the Liverpool game, when Darwin Nunez scored a 99th minute controversial winner away from home against Nottingham Forest.
Forest had the ball on the attack when Ibrahima Konate went down injured, then the referee stopped play and the decided to give the ball back to the Reds which caused uproar in the City ground as Liverpool consequently went up the other end and grabbed a winner.
West Ham leave it late
Everton 1-3 West Ham United
The game was all square in the 90th minute, and Everton thought they had done enough to earn a point, but Tomas Soucek found the back of the net in the 91st minute and then Edson Alvarez cemented the three points with a 95th minute goal.
Heavy defeat for Brighton
Fulham 3-0 Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton made the trip to Craven Cottage on Saturday and came away with a heavy 3-0 defeat not playing well at all, which means that they have won just once of their last four games in all competitions as the head into a massive UEFA Europa League clash against Roma on Thursday night.
City second-half dominance
Manchester City 3-1 Manchester United
Against all odds, Manchester United found themselves a goal ahead going into the break, but after a half-time regrouping from Pep Guardiola, the hosts came out firing in the second half and ended up beating their fierce rivals 3-1. Their third league win in a row leaves City one point behind leaders Liverpool.
