Arsenal concluded the 2024/25 English Premier League season as runners-up for a third straight year, a familiar and increasingly frustrating outcome for Mikel Arteta’s men – only made more disappointing as their 74-point haul marked their lowest return across the three campaigns, following prior tallies of 89 and 84.
The Gunners have been busy in the transfer window as they aim to finally bridge the gap to the title in 2025/26, with Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga all bolstering their squad, while Arsenal have finally ended their striker search with the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon. They will hope he will be the difference between second and finally winning the title for the first time since 2004.
Arteta will be aiming for a strong start to the campaign to signal Arsenal’s title ambitions, but the Gunners have been handed one of the toughest opening runs of any team in the league, including clashes against likely title-rivals Liverpool and Manchester City within their first five fixtures.
Standout Fixtures
Upon the release of the fixture list, Arsenal fans, players and staff would have immediately looked for the away dates against expected title challengers Liverpool and Manchester City, with the Gunners set to visit Anfield on 31 August and the Etihad on 18 April – two clashes that could prove decisive in the Premier League title race.
Fans will also be eyeing their meetings with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, with Arsenal taking on Spurs at home in late November and making the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in late February.

In addition, Arsenal travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on matchday one before hosting the Red Devils in late January, while they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in late November and host the Blues in late February.
