European football-chasing Chelsea and Newcastle United come up against one another on Monday night in a game that could determine whether either of these sides will reach their objectives by the end of the season.
Ahead of any games beginning in matchday 28, Chelsea are 11th in the Premier League table, while Newcastle are four points better off in eighth place.

The Magpies suffered a poor spell over the Christmas break that saw them drop from seventh to 10th in the table, but they have been able to recover in the past weeks with three wins and two draws from their last six league games.
This leaves them in far superior form than their upcoming opponents, but their record against Chelsea suggests that this is likely to be an extremely tight encounter between the two sides.
