English Premier League Title Race Analysis: Arsenal Edging Closer Or Will City Retain?

We have a superb looking title race on our hands in the English Premier League as Arsenal battle it out with reigning champions Manchester City.

The Gunners sit top of the table with eight points more than City, and they are currently on a six-game win streak.

Although City have a game in hand on the Gunners, and they have won five out of their last six games, with the other match ending in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

With the title race really heating up as we head into the business end of the season, you can bet on every Premier League fixture at Bet9ja, with more than 200 markets per game.

Mountain to climb for City?

Pep Guardiola saw his side win the Premier League on the final game of the season last term, as they pipped Liverpool to lift the trophy by one point.

However, City find themselves in a much more unfavourable position after 27 games played this season, as they would have to hope the Gunners drop points from now until the end of the season to retain the title.

City certainly have it in them to go on a ruthless run from now until the end of the campaign, and have 42-goal Erling Haaland to help do it, but with them still being in the UEFA Champions League, Pep might decide to favour Europe over the league.

All important clash at the Etihad

In what could be a real title decider, the Gunners make the trip to Manchester on Wednesday 26 April, to battle it out in a game that could have huge significance come the end of the season.

City came out on top on the two occasions that the sides have met this season, once in the FA Cup and once in the Premier League at the Emirates, so they might feel like the more confident side come April.

Jesus to see the Gunners through?

Arsenal have been without former City forward Gabriel Jesus since before the World Cup, after the Brazilian unfortunately got injured while playing for his country.

Prior to his injury, Jesus chipped in with 11 goal contributions in 14 league games, and with him featuring from the off in the UEFA Europa League against Sporting Lisbon, he might be deemed fit enough to start in the league.

Although Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard have done well sharing the striker role in Jesus’ absence, the Brazilian can certainly offer Mikel Arteta a different dynamic, so he could play a key role from now until the end of the season to help his side win the title.
