Champions League quarter-final, 2009
Chelsea 4-4 Liverpool
With the opening leg ending 3-1 to Chelsea, Liverpool had it all to do at Stamford Bridge, and they went two goals up in the first half to make it an even score on aggregate.
In an action packed second half, the Blues managed to pull it back and the game ended in an exhilarating 4-4 draw, which meant that Chelsea progressed into the semi-final.
Champions League semi-final, 2005
Chelsea 0-1 Liverpool (Agg:0-1)
After the first game ended in a goalless draw, Liverpool took an early lead after three minutes via Luis Garcia, and the Reds held on to the goal advantage but the main talking point from the match was the controversy after Chelsea had a disallowed goal which arguably should have stood.
FA Cup semi-final, 2006
Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool
Liverpool scored the opening goal of the match in the 21st minute when John Arne Riise curled in a free kick, and then the lead was doubled in the 53rd minute via Luis Garcia, which proved too much of a mountain to climb for Chelsea with Didier Drogba missing several major chances late on.
EFL Cup Final, 2005
Chelsea 3-2 Liverpool (AET)
Liverpool found themselves a goal up in the 2005 EFL Cup Final, before Steven Gerrard scored an own goal in the 79th minute which took it to extra time, then the Blues went on to win in extra time with goals from Didier Drogba and Mateja Kezman to seal the victory.
FA Cup Final, 2012
Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool
In 2012, Liverpool faced Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final in a game that certainly did not disappoint after Chelsea found themselves two goals up after 52 minutes, and a goal from Andy Carroll gave the Reds hope but Peter Cech was the star man after he made several world-class saves late on, to keep his side ahead.
