To have been without one of the best midfielders ever for five months and then have him return is a massive boost for City and will not make the rest of their squad play at a higher level too.
His pass for Oscar Bobb’s goal was magical, and his experience in this part of the season is invaluable. They chased down Arsenal from a similar position last season, and will want to do the same to Liverpool, who will want to win one more trophy for their departing manager, Jurgen Klopp.
