Victor Ikpeba’s EPL Preview And Exclusive Booking Codes

There are five top quality Premier League matches going on this weekend, with Arsenal looking to get back into winning form after a poor run of defeats recently. On top of this, there are four more highly contested fixtures to take a look at as clubs look to climb up the league table

We spoke to Bet9ja Ambassador Victor Ikpeba about his thoughts and predictions for the fixtures – you can bet on over 200 markets for each match here at Bet9ja.

Arsenal need to rebound in a big way

Mikel Arteta’s side have had a rough run of form recently, losing to West Ham United, Fulham and Liverpool in their last three fixtures after being top of the Premier League at Christmas. I know what it’s like to be in a team who are playing well and suffer a drop of form – it’s important to stick to your principles but not be afraid to try something new.

Sometimes Arteta can be guilty of not thinking outside the box and taking risks – he has built an amazing team over the last few years but when things aren’t going right it isn’t always as simple as rotating the same group of players who have played nearly every match this season.

It’s no secret that Arsenal have a lot of young talent, but it’s Arteta’s job to give chances to players like Smith-Rowe and academy products in order to build their confidence and form for when they are eventually needed in big games. Pep Guardiola has done this perfectly with Oscar Bobb – he gave him minutes off the bench to get him used to the standard of football and then subbed him on against Newcastle to win the game.

I still think they have enough quality to beat an out of form Crystal Palace, especially after having a two week period to rest and recuperate.

Liverpool to slip up without Salah?

Liverpool are top of the league for a reason, but a big part of that reason is Mo Salah. With him away at AFCON it remains to be seen if Liverpool can find the same amount of productivity from the rest of their frontline – against Arsenal in the FA Cup they were dominated for large parts of the game. I can see Bournemouth sneaking this one 1-0.

Ivan Toney is back for Brentford, a big bonus for sure but I doubt he’ll be match fit right away. I can see them drawing 1-1 against Nottingham Forest. West Ham are a strange team sometimes – they played brilliantly against Arsenal but can pull a terrible performance out of nowhere. I still think they’ll beat Sheffield United 2-1, they just have far more quality than The Blades.

Brighton vs Wolves is the final match of the weekend – I know this will be a great game. Both teams play great football and have firepower in attack, but I think Brighton will have the edge due to home advantage. My prediction is a 2-1 win for The Seagulls.
