Watford vs Leeds United
Leeds United come into this round of fixtures at the top of the table by goal difference thanks to a run of 13 games without a defeat before this upcoming match, including a huge victory over title rivals Leicester City during this run.
Watford, on the other hand, have been on a disastrous run of results heading into this one, managing just two victories in their last 11 league games. Despite being at home in this game against Leeds, Watford have been one of the worst-performing sides when playing at their own ground with only five wins and six draws in their 19 games at Vicarage Road.
For these reasons, we expect this to be a fairly comfortable victory for a Leeds side who have been so impressive in recent weeks.
Leeds United to win, 1.63
Bristol City vs Leicester City
For the majority of the season it looked as though Leicester City were going to comfortably win the Championship title, breaking all sorts of records on their way back to the Premier League. However, a disappointing past few weeks have seen them be dragged back into a three-way title race due to taking just four points from the last five games.
Bristol City have also had a tough time in recent games, winning three of their last fourteen in the league, which has seen them fall away from the playoff spots and into 14th place.
With Leicester the best-performing side away from home this season and Bristol in such poor form, we believe the visitors will go on to win this one.
Leicester City to win, 1.72
Blackburn Rovers vs Ipswich Town
The final of the three title-hunting sides is Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town, who have been exceptional in their first season back in the Championship since being promoted from League One last campaign.
No one expected Ipswich to be battling in the top half of the table ahead of this year but with just eight games left to play they find themselves just a point from the top two. They come into this game having won seven of their last eight games, only losing to Cardiff City after conceding two stoppage-time goals.
In comparison, Blackburn Rovers have had an extremely disappointing season. After missing out on the playoffs on goal difference last year many would have expected them to be back in the race this time around but instead, they are just three points above the relegation zone.
They have failed to win any of their last nine games in all competitions ahead of this one, and now face an Ipswich Town side who are in scintillating form. For these reasons, we expect McKenna’s side to end up victorious in this one.
Ipswich Town to win, 2.00
