Tomorrow night marks the most anticipated club match of every season, the UEFA Champions League final. Borussia Dortmund take on 14-time winners Real Madrid, looking to secure their first victory since 1997 at Wembley Stadium.
The German side previously faced Bayern Munich in London in the 2013 centerpiece, losing to an injury time goal from Arjen Robben. Madrid most recently won Europe’s premier trophy in 2022, thanks to a superb performance from Thibaut Courtois and a goal from Vinicius Junior.

Real Madrid come into this match as heavy favourites, and rightly so. They have been excellent so far in Europe and have already won La Liga this season at a canter. If you look at the quality they have in every part of the field, it is easy to see why people expect them to win on Saturday.
Antonio Rudiger is one of the best defenders in the world, Toni Krooos will want to go out with a bang before retirement, and the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior can change a game in the blink of an eye going forward. I can see Vinicius Junior getting on the scoresheet first – he’s got great history in the competition and is a big player for big games.

Marco Reus and Dortmund have one final date with destiny!
I think that every single neutral fan wants to see Dortmund come away with the win here, mainly for Marco Reus. He has been so loyal to Dortmund in the 12 years that he has spent at the club, even when a lot of their biggest stars have left to other sides.
Dortmund are definitely dangerous – you don’t put as many goals past the likes of PSG and Atletico Madrid as they have recently without having an awful lot of quality going forward. They have a strong core, with the likes of Mats Hummels and Schlotterbeck at the back and Emre Can in midfield. I can see them making this a close match, but Real Madrid ultimately winning 2-1 to take home their 15th UEFA Champions League title
