We had the treat of midweek action in the English Premier League Premier League and there were shock results, exciting matches and more controversial decisions.
Here we take a look at the top five goals scored all from action!
Carlos Baleba
Fulham 3-1 Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton travelled to Craven Cottage last night and disappointingly lost 3-1 thanks to a brace from Alex Iwobi and a Matt O’Reily own goal.
However, the only goal for the visitors was superb as Joao Pedro expertly set the ball to Baleba, who drove the ball into the bottom corner from outside the penalty area.
Noni Madueke
Southampton 1-5 Chelsea
Southampton were on the receiving end of a 5-1 thumbing at home against Chelsea and Madueke continued his fine form.
The tricky winger received the ball on the right, done well to shift the ball onto his favoured left-foot and placed the ball into the far corner.
Ashley Young
Everton 4-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Everton picked up an important three points when they battered Wolves 4-0 on Wednesday and Young opened the scoring with an exquisite free-kick. Watch here.
Morgan Rogers
Aston Villa 3-1 Brentford
Aston Villa were back to winning ways when they beat Brentford 3-1 on Wednesday and Rogers continued to show his talent.
The English midfielder received the ball on the edge of the box, and whipped an effort into the top right corner which left the goalkeeper with no chance.
Jeremy Doku
Manchester City 3-0 Nottingham Forest
After a difficult period, City cruised past Forest this week when they won 3-0 and Doku put the nail in the coffin by scoring his sides third goal of the night.
Doku ran from just inside Forest’s half and squared up his defender well before finessing a right-footed effort into the bottom corner past the keeper.
