After a pause for international action, major club football finally begins to return in the later stages of this week. As players rejoin their clubs and domestic leagues resume across Europe, fans can look forward to a packed schedule of exciting matchups.
Below are our best booking codes for the next couple of days – all odds at time of writing and 90 minutes only:
Huddersfield Town vs Bolton Wanderers
Huddersfield Town may be heading into this encounter in underwhelming form, with just one win in their last six matches across all competitions, but they will be confident of ending that streak with a home win against Bolton.
Huddersfield have impressed at home in League One with four wins, one draw and one defeat, and combined with Bolton’s dismal away form of no wins, three draws and three defeats, we are predicting the hosts to win this one.

SL Benfica Lisbon vs Arsenal WFC
The reigning Champions League holders were undergoing a miserable run of results heading into their opening league phase fixture against OL Lyonnes, and the 2-1 opening-day defeat extended Arsenal’s winless run to four matches.
The Gunners finally ended that streak with a 1-0 win over Brighton last time out, and they will be confident of making it back-to-back wins when they take on Benfica on matchday two of the Champions League.
Arsenal will be extremely motivated to get their title defence underway with a first win against Benfica, and given the visitors are the overwhelming favourites thanks to their far-superior quality, we expect the visitors to win this one with several goals scored.

Union Berlin vs Monchengladbach
Ilyas Ansah has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season for his new club Union Berlin, netting four goals in his first six Bundesliga matches for the club, and the forward will be looking to continue his scoring streak against Monchengladbach.
Monchengladbach have been disastrous in defence at the beginning of this term, conceding a massive 12 goals in six matches, while they are yet to win a match in the Bundesliga, leaving them 17th in the standings.
Given their horrible start to the campaign in defence, combined with Ansah’s strong scoring form heading into this clash, we expect the forward to get on the scoresheet once again here.

Real Oviedo vs Espanyol
Real Oviedo have had an extremely difficult start to the La Liga season, winning two and losing six of their first eight games, and they are widely expected to continue their challenging beginning when they face Espanyol.
While the visitors have disappointingly failed to win any of their last four matches, they had an impressive start to the campaign with three wins and one draw, and given their clear superior quality to their hosts, we expect Espanyol to win.
