The selections for the weekend are below:
Turkiye vs Paraguay
Turkiye went into their group opener billed as tournament underdogs and dark horses, but the Crescent-Stars were shocked by Australia in a 2-0 defeat.
Paraguay lasted just seven minutes against tournament co-hosts USA last time out as an early own goal sparked a humbling 4-1 defeat at the SoFi Stadium.
That result was extremely damaging to the South American side, who are now looking at a third-place qualification berth as their most likely route to the knockouts.
PREDICTION: Turkiye to win either halves at 1.56 Odds
Netherlands vs Sweden
The Netherlands were not at their best in their opening draw with Japan and must go up a level if they want to really get their tournament up and running against this rampant Sweden team.
Sweden laid down an early marker in Group F after dismantling Tunisia to put themselves in an excellent position of progressing to the knockout stages for their fifth World Cup in succession.
The Netherlands must get something from this game.
PREDICTION: Netherlands to win either halves at 1.39 Odds
Germany vs Ivory Coast
Germany made no mistake against Group E minnows Curacao in their opener, scoring seven times against the Caribbean island nation to all but mathematically confirm a top-three group finish.
Amad Diallo was the hero for the Ivory Coast last time out as his 90th-minute goal sealed an impressive 1-0 home win over a star-studded Ecuador side at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Elephants will pose a serious threat to the group favourites this weekend.
PREDICTION: Germany to win either halves at 1.27 Odds
Ecuador vs Curacao
Ecuador were heading for a draw against a strong Ivory Coast side in their Group E opener before Amad Diallo’s last-minute strike condemned them to a heartbreaking defeat.
Curacao enjoyed a brief moment of elation against Germany when Livano Comenencia equalised in the 21st minute, but the Caribbean island nation was eventually hammered 7-1 on their World Cup debut.
This will be a more manageable test, but the away side remains firm underdogs.
PREDICTION: Over 2.5 Goals at 1.52 odds
Tunisia vs Japan
Tunisia already face an uphill battle to avoid suffering a seventh consecutive group stage exit at the World Cup – after they were thumped 5-1 by Sweden in their tournament opener.
Japan, unbeaten in eight games, are bidding to reach the World Cup knockout stages for the third time running, and a victory would leave them on the cusp of doing exactly that.
Three points here would also leave them bang in the hunt to win the group ahead of facing Sweden in their final outing.
PREDICTION: Japan to win either halves at 1.30 Odds
Brazil vs Haiti
Brazil got off to a slow start against Morocco, but Vinicius Junior’s stunning equaliser at least salvaged a point and kept their hopes of finishing top of the group in their own hands.
Haiti were unfortunate to lose out to Scotland in their opening game, but are already battling for their tournament place, with this the first of the two hardest games of the group.
The Caribbean outfit will have to be at their absolute best to pull off one of the biggest shocks in World Cup history – with even a draw likely to be considered a huge surprise.
PREDICTION: Over 2.5 Goals at 1.25 Odds
