Galatasaray may have their man in Osimhen, but there’s still lots of other huge transfer stories circling today. We round up all the biggest moves, stand-offs and surprise swoops from Thursday’s rumour mill.
Inter closing in on Lookman
Inter Milan believe the green light to sign Ademola Lookman is imminent after upping their offer to Atalanta.
The Nerazzurri had a £43 million bid rejected earlier this week but returned with an improved proposal worth £36 million plus £2.6 million in add-ons. According to Tuttosport, Inter feel confident the move will now go through, especially after Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi acknowledged Lookman wants to leave.
Fulham move for Chukwueze
Samuel Chukwueze could be set for a Premier League move as Fulham begin talks with AC Milan.
The Super Eagles winger has struggled for game time in Italy and is keen to move somewhere he can play regularly ahead of AFCON 2025. Fulham are one of several clubs interested, with Mallorca and Real Sociedad also previously linked.
Isak to Liverpool edges closer
Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement with Alexander Isak over personal terms, according to Sky Sports Germany.
The Newcastle striker wants the move, but talks between the two clubs have not yet advanced. Newcastle are likely to demand over £100 million for Isak, who has three years left on his current deal.
The 25-year-old has been training individually at his former club Real Sociedad, with Newcastle citing a thigh injury as the reason for his absence from the Asia tour.

Uche stays at Getafe
Christantus Uche is set to remain at Getafe for the 2025/26 season. The Nigerian midfielder had been linked with a move away, but manager José Bordalás has decided to keep him at the club.
Uche has been handed the number 10 shirt ahead of the new campaign, a clear sign that he is expected to play a central role.
West Ham accelerate Onyedika chase
Raphael Onyedika remains high on West Ham’s list of midfield targets following their US tour.
The Club Brugge man was the subject of interest last summer but was not allowed to leave. That stance has softened this year, and the Belgian side are now open to selling if a suitable offer arrives.
West Ham are expected to begin formal negotiations soon, with Brugge reportedly valuing Onyedika around the £17 million mark.
Roma want Dele-Bashiru
Tom Dele-Bashiru is attracting interest from Roma, with the Serie A club keen to bring the Nigeria U23 international to the Italian capital.
He could soon join his brother Fisayo – who plays for Lazio – in the Italian capital, setting up a unique derby dynamic.
Roma are not the only Italian club interested, with Parma and Cremonese also enquiring.
Dessers move stalls
Cyriel Dessers’ proposed transfer to AEK Athens has hit a delay, with Rangers refusing to sanction the move until they find a replacement.
The Nigerian striker had agreed terms with the Greek side, but the Scottish club are still negotiating for forwards elsewhere. Rangers recently made a £5 million bid for Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Dor Turgeman.
Atalanta shortlist Arokodare
Atalanta are targeting Tolu Arokodare as a potential replacement for Mateo Retegui, who recently joined Al Qadsiah in a £56 million deal. The Serie A club are also considering Rodrigo Muniz from Fulham
United and Newcastle battle for Woltemade
Manchester United and Newcastle have joined the race to sign Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade after Bayern Munich dropped out of negotiations.
The 23-year-old finished as top scorer at the U21 Euros and is now valued at around £40 million. Both Premier League clubs are keen to bolster their forward options this summer.
Madrid take their time with Vini Jr
Real Madrid and Vinícius Júnior are in no rush to finalise a new deal, according to AS.
The Brazilian’s contract runs until 2027, and both parties are happy with the current terms. Talks are ongoing but not urgent, meaning an agreement may not be reached until 2026.
Chelsea still want Garnacho and Simons
Chelsea remain interested in Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, who is valued at £40 million. The club are also preparing a bid for RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, with the Dutchman pushing for a move to the Premier League.
Chelsea failed to sign Garnacho in January but believe they can strike a deal before the window closes.
Chelsea have now spent €4.18B on transfers – €950M more than any other club in football history ??

Villa enquire about Porto striker
Aston Villa have made contact over a deal for Porto forward Samu Aghehowa. The Spain international scored 27 goals last season and is valued at over £55 million by Porto president André Villas-Boas.
Villa would need to sell before making a formal offer, but the player remains firmly on their radar.
United in talks for Donnarumma
Manchester United are exploring a surprise move for Gianluigi Donnarumma after interest in Emiliano Martinez cooled.
PSG are closing in on Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, which could push Donnarumma out. His deal expires in 2026, and he is valued at around £34 million.
